Ugh, people realize that once you legalize and scale that the actual price of cannabis is like $0.10 a gram before taxation, which is insignificant if it’s on a percentage of sale price?
Just lol at people investing. Crony governments will control licensing anyways you dolts!

You can buy/sell shares under "XMETD" in the meantime, but you don't have access to your pre-split shares until the split finishes processing, which will likely occur in the next week or so.
After the split XMETD opened at $0.36 and went as low as $0.25ish, and it closed today at $1.15. The custodianship is officially terminated on Friday, and they are required to release financials of the new company (Houmu Holdings) by March 31st. Once that happens, we'll have a better idea of where we stand exactly, but as of right now things are looking good. When people finally get access to their pre-split shares, there may be a little bit of a sell off until the financials are released for the company, but once the financials are released, considering we've reduced the amount of outstanding shares from 8 billion to 80 million now, if the financial report is anywhere near what we think it's going to be, we should be poised to make some good money here assuming there's no further dilution.

It’s still high because we don’t have universally legal weed in the US and the cost of regulation and quite frankly a lot of the early producers got waxed on setup costs.
I mean this is pretty simple math... how much is fresh produce per pound at the grocery store? Pot doesn’t have the same density, but a lot of produce is under $1 per pound.
Industry estimates have retail prices down to $3 per gram within 5 years, I think it could get as low as $1 out the door by then. At that point... where’s the profit? Average people don’t just go from smoking a gram a day to an ounce a day, and market supply will soon certainly catch-up, and it’s also easy enough to slip black/grey market weed that’s grown without regulatory costs into the supply chain which would allow for shady companies to undercut legitimate companies by flooding the market.
It’s the kind of business where if you can get permitted cheaply enough, you make your cash the first 3-4 years with as minimal an investment as possible (outdoor grow, leased not owned retail space, etc.) make the easy cash, and then close up shop and walk away.
Like it just takes basic common sense, do you even garden bro?

BAYP did a 10,000:1 R/S (way more than our 100:1). It traded sideways at $0.25 for 2 months then rocketed to $33 one day, and settled around $13 ish. Keep an eye on the stocktwits page, as long as the financials are good and there's no further dilution, you're going to make money.

that bill basically would stop banks getting penalized from doing business with legal pot companies.

- legalize it and tax it = money for fed gov and states
- less people going to jail for weed possession = less tax payer money spent in bs
- more business will open up
I still don't understand why this hasn't been legalized yet

when the reality is the war on the drugs was the single most destructive policy in making certain americans perpetually poor, destroying neighborhoods, killing tens of millions if not war and wasting trillions of dollars.

Newport owned by Reynolds which already has investments in cannabis.
They’re niche will likely be more in delivery system (cheap carts and batts, think Juul style), and direct investment rather than competition with producers for diversification.Remember that just because a company like tobacco invests in a related industry doesn’t mean they think it’s a money maker, it can be a hedge against potential competition to mitigate risk.
This is a corporate strategy that I don’t expect even most small-medium sized business owners to know naturally. It’s a basic concept, but not widely known.
I did some brief consulting for state legislative cannabis bills and a common theme we saw legislators leaning towards was placing significant restrictive caps on production to keep retail prices inflated for several years and prevent, at least for 3-5 years, large mass producers (even on a local level) from coming in and crashing the market.
Also, what you’re going to see is that after 5 years or so of federal legalization, when states and local governments see their tax bases eroding from a percentage based tax, they’ll switch over to a unit tax similar to cigarettes with tax rates at or above 50% of the retail cost for non Erin and Lynn Compassionate Use Act purchases.
The problem with tobacco is I don’t frankly know how to grow tobacco, it sounds like an extensive process. But cannabis? It would be illegal clearly, but a class of kindergarteners with a $12/hour landscaper overseeing them could manage, grow, harvest, and prepare for sale a 500 plant garden, seriously.

Not sure how I should manage my UWMC. I currently have
50x 12/21 5c on UWMC paid $3.90 each - currently up $6700
50x 4/16 9c covered calls at $9 - sold for $1.07 and they are worth $2- down $4600
could roll the 50c up to 5/21 $10.c for same premium so I will make another $5000 if executed based on higher strike price or to $11c for $1.75 thus losing $1250 in premium but it will execute at $11 which will be another $3750
