This isn't even a joke or an exaggeration

Mid 80s to early 2000s will go down as the greatest time to have ever lived, ded srs

People who got to live their youth during that time hit the jackpot

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened <3

I'm glad I experienced childhood and the majority of school life before social media kicked off. I can't imagine how chit it must be now.

So much truth. I'm miserable as **** now but so happy that I grew up during that period. Maybe not so much early 2000s, that was getting a bit late. Being a kid during the 80s was the best. Every time I see kids now (normal kids, not offspring of degenerate filth) they seem to be with their parents (often wearing helmets while cycling). Back then routine was grab my skateboard, say 'Bye Mum' in the morning then not be seen again until late in the evening. I think we'd now be referred to as latchkey kids.

Would absolutely hate to be a teenager right now.

Oh, plus MTV actually used to be decent. The memories of watching this while coming down off acid.......

Now they'd be showing some fukking reality show full of imbeciles.

We'll be the last generation to have experienced life without social media and the first to experience it.

Backpacking trough europe in the late 90s early 2000's must have been peak tourism peak everything imo. No war on terror, no major wars, economic prosperity, NO SMARTPHONES OR SOCIAL MEDIA, no google to lookup for generic bullchit etc.

Those who got to experience it where the lucky ones

Back then people use to think trance was the gay. Then when the radio started playing better off alone. Suddenly everybody liked trance/edm musics. Anyone remember downloading songs off Napster? 90s to early 2000s was truly the best time of my life. Wish I could relive my teen years again
