It really just depends if someone delivers something of value to the world (DMX) vs some random junkie degen on the street. At the end of the day if someone chooses to ingest a toxic substance, either orally or by injecting it into their blood stream. There are going to be consequences. Its fun until its not fun anymore. This isn't some kind of tragedy. Dude made a conscious decision and knew the risks involved.

Crazy considering how old he is/how long he's been around. Dude is 50 years old. At that age you should be on chill mode/grandpa time. Now out there taking high risk substances.

He's had a lot of struggles with his demons. I think Aaliyah's death in 2001 was what really pushed him over the edge. He's never been the same since then.

Man, we used to play “it’s dark and hell is hot” nonstop when that album first came out
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a nonlinear, nonsubjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff.

I agree, if someone is young like Demi Lovato she gets a free pass, but people over 40 should know better

What’s your real account little man? DMX is a rap icon who lived a rough life he was unable to escape even with his success.

A lot of musicians struggle with something because many came from nothing and from a challenging background.

Flesh of my flesh blood of my blood

And then there was x

Ghetto fabulous

I got the hook up soundtrack

Riddle box, great milenko, tunnel of love

^

Those albums got me through some rather difficult times, and workouts for 6-7 years after those albums (the first 4 anyway) released .

98 Little did I know what was on its way in the near future which was The Slim Shady LP. Which would change my life forever:

Could be a lot of reasons man. I get sick of addicts who refuse to help themselves too. At the end of the day it’s not society’s fault they chose to get high. I grew up around many people like this, but the harsh reality is many of them never had a chance in life. They were born into poverty, of degenerate parents who just perpetuated the cycle.

A good friend of mine started smoking because his mom introduced it and did it with him at the age of 12. From there he spiraled into the same things DMX did. His mom has since died and he’s following in the same path. It’s sad. Their minds don’t work like the rest of us because they’ve been poisoned and it literally ruins their entire lives.

One of the most epic voices in hip-hop, but a really troubled human being and probably one of the most mentally challenged guys in the rap business. I really hope he makes it. He brought some amazing club nights to me.

Also epic MMA entrance:

That's a shame. But he was a drug addict since the 90's I think. Even before it became publicly known, he was always jittery like he was smoking something other than weed.
