Those are the worst sometimes, where you want to talk or whisper or scream but you can't. Sometimes you think you're groaning or whispering, but it's just a dream, and in reality you're just lying there, barely moving.

I no longer have any episodes and I don’t know why?
You were probably sleep deprived and entering into REM sleep almost immediately. I bet you don't stay awake for as long anymore, or you cut down on caffeine or some other stimulant, and you're entering into a proper sleep cycle. Or you began sleeping on your side. Something like that.

Wiggling your toes to become lucid and wake up is something I often hear. And I've tried hyperventilating to wake up before. But I think the best tip is to just close your eyes if you want to exit sleep paralysis. Even if you're in a dream, closing your eyes should erase everything in the dream.

I’ve had sleep paralysis multiple times. But there was this one time I seen some **** That pick me Not physically but like levitated me up from my bed and shook the **** out of me. Then I thought I woke up and thought I saw my mother crying. I went to her and she started stabbing her self I tried to stop her I even felt the knife go through my hand it wasn’t painful but I could feel it. Then the thing got me again and then made me watch it all. **** was insane I couldn’t tell what was reality and what wasn't.

The scariest moment of my life (probably doesn't say much lol) was when I was sleeping and I was dreaming I guess, but I heard a noise like a falling artillery shell, then I heard a loud explosion (not really of course) and I was jolted awake terrified and unable to move. Thank God there was no demon I'd have had a heart attack lol

^ @above I've had plenty of dreams involving knives, me getting stabbed, me actually shooting people, me getting shot, and weird ones more than once where I have a sword (it's my own sword I own) but it is broken when I try to use it (no I don't have ED).

Lol, I get Exploding Head Syndrome all the time. Happened just last night actually. Unlike sleep paralysis though, it has never been all that scary. Startling, obviously yes. But not scary.

What if I told you that negative entity present during sleep paralysis is just your astral projection trying to get back into your body?

Sleep paralysis exists to stop us from flailaing around in our sleep and possibly falling out of the tree we were sleeping in.

Our ancestors were apes and most likely slept in trees to avoid the larger land predators that would be hunting on the jungle floor.

Without sleep paralysis we would fall out of the tree and either be injured by th fall or eaten

That being said i have had many lucid dreams in my life. But since all i have lately are pretty nasty nightmares i dont even want to think about dreaming. i have also experienced the "old hag" syndrom as well.

Where are the cliffs?

I don’t believe in sleep paralysis or lucid dreaming any more than I believe in astrology.

I'll usually get a sensation around my head, full body is rare for me. Never had a bad experience though.

Ive had sleep paralysis twice.

First time was in my apartment around a time where my wife swore the place was haunted and would have her own visions of beings that she later sketched after a medium told her she was definitely being haunted.

i was in bed alone and i could just feel an awful evil presence. i dont recall ever actually seeing the creature but i could somehow feel it crawling on the floor out of sight. I distinctly remember trying to call out for mommy like a little bitch. But thanks to the ****ing misc, i was able to remember to wiggled my toes and fingers to get myself out of it.

The next time it happened was in a new house and this time i saw it. well it was a big lumberjack dude (fuking lol) who got on top of me and started to hack at me with an axe as i got out of it. I felt him come up the stairs and wait outside the door.

With lucid dreaming, science can explain it all they want but to me it makes actual reality extremely questionable. If my mind can make me experience anything i want and its as vivid as my conscious world then how on earth can i trust the conscious world? It forces you to believe in other dimensions and things existing beyond this “life”

Perhaps during SP you're in a heightened spiritual state which makes you 'sense' evil spirits? Sounds crazy AF but it makes sense given my experiences.

Sleep paralysis induced LD is actually the hardest method to learn and whenever I tried it I would always start feeling disturbing presences whenever I got close to achieving it

Last time I had it I was very aware of it. Could hear my breathing and knew what was going on, but I was scared and nearly whimpering though I don’t know why. It’s always disturbing. Even weirder is that I remembered it because I never remember dreams.

Spot on. I'm starting to think my heightened senses theory is true. It's ALWAYS negative.

It happened to me many times. The sleep paralysis thing I already described. As for lucid dreams, I have dreams where I commit crimes because I'm sure it's a dream, then I do the crime and I get worried thinking if it's not really a dream I'm in trouble. This is a recurring one for me.

Or the reason it’s always negative is because you’re partially stuck in a dream state and “bad” emotions tend to manifest themselves visually in dreams - e.g. trying to escape as something comes for you but being unable to move; trying to protect yourself but sluggish, etc. I’ve never heard of anyone describing it without being some degree of scared at first/the whole time so it’s not surprising that truly scary things would manifest themselves.

Have had it probably 100+ times at this point. It’s not fun. Sometimes I get nothing hearing or vision wise... just trapped. I always wiggle my toes though and slowly break out which is a horrible sensation typically.

Rarely my hearing will be in dreamland and that’s probably been the worst of the experiences.. but they’re few and far between. Visuals I get a lot of shadows moving but nothing too crazy.

I’ve gotten a lot better at dealing with it and even got use to it at one point... weirdly it stopped happening as much when I did

Idk opie maybe you’re right.
