Why do people always say, "you can't lose if you don't sell?"

I always found that funny because while it has proven to be absolutely true, sometimes the market takes decades to recover lol

I also find it eerie how alike LBJ and Biden are. There was a 15 year bear market up until Regan in 80s. I guess you can't lose but you may be stuck bag holding for a couple decades lol.

So the thing is Biden is actually great for Palantir long term. Higher tax rates is a negligible factor for them.

Shifted 1%<X<2% of IRA into COIN today as a portfolio hedge.

Also moved trading account to TD Ameritrade. It’s time to margin up and E*Trade wasn’t about that life with their BS restrictions. Requirements under TD much looser and allow for more leverage.

I’m reasonable with margin however and am only leveraged 1.4ish.

Options are clearly a losers game with Palantir, but I think the sheep claiming reasonable margin is too dangerous are on the wrong side. But what do I know?

If you added into the graph compounded dividends, you'd see a[i]very[/i]different chart.

edit: I'm reading a book about prohibition and there was a canadian liquor company that was paying out 20% dividends to shareholders during a time when business was down 6% due to prohibition. The company began illegally running the liquor over the border.

Sad thing is people calling this a buying opportunity when BTC was legit $7.5k a year ago and the thing has long history of spiking hard and then crashing hard. There are no fundamentals to back anything up and there’s no reason to think now is some amazing sale, the downside risk is FAR greater than any upside

Possible fake out, but looking like the market has decided it gives zero chits about the tax proposal, lol. Either that or it figures that either Biden will walk this back or a compromise will be reached, which is likely in my opinion.

AMD also on fire as INTC dumps. Business as usual. Too bad I didn't jump in on that dip with calls yesterday because of the tax fear.

Big pump on NET also. Finally back over 80.
