Tesla definitely seems to need brushing up on their handling of the Chinese market. Elon doesn’t seem to have a lot of respect for authorities over here in the West but that won’t fly in China
Like after the crash in Texas, tweeting out that preliminary data showed Autopilot wasn’t active while the authorities had heard nothing so far. Imagine doing that in mainland China where the state news was already calling them out for “arrogance” over their handling of that protester claiming brake failure at the recent auto show.

It just Elon on twitter.
Imho China CCP is dangerous as hell to any foreign company. Whats to say they haven't stolen Tesla IP and reversed engineered to help NIO (their own brand) succeed.

I’m not buying anything they say mechanical issue related coming from China if it’s about Tesla. Nio and others are their priority, Tesla is facing an uphill battle there and should be careful.
As appealing as Nio stock is, it’s hard to get myself to buy it even though I know it would be a good investment I just don’t want to support that company. So been swing trading it constantly.

Tesla had lawsuit that their former engineer (Chinese) stole Tesla source code and went to work for Xpeng.
Pretty sure in order to even get factory in China you have to give up certain IP rights.
I don't think there is company in existence that hasn't had issue with China IP theft. They pretty much reverse engineer everything.

Competition is coming fast and hard.
Undercuts Tesla Model Y in price and coming this fall.
Every single manufacturer has EV and more coming this year.
Only thing Tesla has is their charging network. Getting beat in every other part.

Tbh my main business partner asked me why I still keep my 9-5. (Pension, healthcare, I like it, consulting opportunities to retire on 10 hours of work a week)
My IRA is really a misnomer, it isn’t my retirement, it’s a tax advantaged account that I’ve placed money into.
This is why investments should always be taken in perspective. Risk management is actually likely my best skill. On the Palantir calls I lost maybe .05% of my net worth and it was a gamble that had maybe a 2% chance at being a $50k+ play. It would have provided significant liquidity which matters no matter what your net worth.
And bro on delayed gratification, I lived off brown rice, beans, and a multivitamin for about 5 years in my 20’s to build the capital for my first business venture and to support it. You don’t want this struggle.
On another note, I think we’re going to see a tremendous comeuppance when the tax man gets his chit in order. Girls with only fans, PPP, crypto, etc. Those homies and gym bunnies showing up with the new G-wagon at the gym? They gonna be shilling Mary Kay and nutrisystem before too long, if they aren’t in jail.
Also on diversification. My argument would be the markets are so fukked right now that there is almost no diversification outside of Beta. I think once the meme hype and all that recent garbage falls away, that Palantir will have appreciation disconnected from the markets. It goes back to Thiel’s argument about tech stocks not being a bubble and actually being the hedge against stock market bubbles. If markets truly chit the bed over the next 20 +years I could see my pension reduced (80% chance) or even disappear (.0001% chance but it exists).
By investing solely in an equity I believe completely disconnected from general market activity isn’t that the best diversification against doomsday’s scenarios where I never receive a pension?
And I don’t bank on a pension or equities for my retirement, but they are part of broader diversification, each with its own risks. If someone thinks owning a bunch of different US equities is diversification? I have some terrible, terrible news for you.

How far out are you looking and what strike? Premium is expensive to even consider ie expiry June or July without looking at far OTM
Plus keep in mind when we say pop. GME can go up big or down big.

You can buy bags of bulk dry black beans in 50 lb bags, similar to rice (takes a lot more prep work though). I was paying roughly $30 per bag of 50 lbs (they're lighter dry as well).
Mixes well with rice.

if squeeze the price won't come down to 5-10 (amc) right away that could be "easy" money - gme is just a just in case lol

Who really knows when stuff gonna happen for gme, GameStop just pushed everyone to recall their shares to vote in the shareholder meeting and if for some reason they get more people asking to vote then shares available it could cause them to enable an audit of shares which could force somthing. Fidelity won’t have my control number until late next week. But most brokers are getting swamped. I don’t think they have ever seen so many shareholders trying to vote.
They could pay out dividend in somthing like game coin, the whole thing could happen organically as shares dry up, a margin call could happen if banks change requirements etc...
So many moving pieces and things that could happen, is black rock gonna vote at proxy meeting? Etc..

I think the amount of institutional buyers for AMC friday says something... cut throat business and if they can take melvin's money (or the insurance) they will...
if I am "whale" I am def buying a zhit load of amc then lend it at 30%... it is a win win - I am thinking next week could be crucial... amc could double easily and I don't mind to lose some money while the share is at $10

Honestly I just don't see any benefit of GME options until it actually starts to move and even than you would need to be quick in/out because they sure as hell can do what they did before (March 9th to 10th) let it run till $350 and drop it below $200 in minutes.
As Duckliver says above so many things can happen now that gamestop is having shared holder meeting June 12th.
Its possible nothing even happens till after this meeting. Estimated earnings is June 3rd to 11th atm.
GME last 4 earnings
Mar 23, 2021 AMC -33.8%
Dec 8, 2020 AMC -19.4%
Sep 9, 2020 AMC -15.2%
.......................
AMC at least moves a lot better than GME.
Earnings are early first week next month. This could be that run up on hype than dump after.
Last 4 earnings
Mar 10, 2021 AMC +4.4%
Nov 2, 2020 AMC +8.8%
Aug 6, 2020 AMC +14.7%
My honest opinion I would not be doing any options on GME or AMC more than 2 week out max. They are just meme stocks.
