The other side of the argument, a lot of the reason covid spreads so much as it does, I believe is because so many people get it and it's so damn mild they either are unaware or assume they only have allergies. Blame the media there, it's this "Big Bag BoogeyMan Pandemic Nightmare" so people assume if they've only got the sniffles it's something else. Anyway, for some who are not at risk of mortality and probably no lingering long term sides, if they get the vaccine, then are infected, it might make it so mild they laugh it off and accidentally sneeze on Granny.

I've always looked at vaccination as a personal choice and unique to the individual. I personally don't feel threatened and I like to think I'm also not a dickhead. If I get sick, I stay away from the gym and stay home to rest. Not a huge threat of spreading it around and not a huge threat to my personal safety.

All the more reason I will be passing on this vaccine.
No, the vaccine is doing all of jack chit. Covid will not/cannot be contained or eradicated. What is going on right now, is known in epidemiology as the pathogen endemic equilibrium phase, (viral stasis) and is perfectly normal. Virulence weakening and dilution is what always happens when mutations and naturally acquired herd immunity is occurring throughout the populations. Invariably mutation causes infection rate increase ( seasonality still being the biggest factor) and lethality rate decrease, henceforth it becomes ubiquitous and permanent. Vaccination at this stage is essentially pointless. To show statistical significance for a virus of this type, a vaccine must show efficacy, (save lives, Period.) However, when the overall death rate is between 0.2 and 0.5 %, there will be little to no benefit. In other words, SARS-COV-2 virus is far too weak right now to show a vaccine effectiveness rate numerically, at population scale.

Interesting post. Cliffs: let a grease fire burn out, don't throw water on it.

On the death rate (0.2%-0.5%) where did you get your numbers? Looking at the known US cases to death, which assumes all the figures are accurate (and yeah, there is quite a debate there; or would be if big tech and the media allowed it), on those figures, for anyone 50 is around those levels but people over than 50 creep upwards and past 0.5% exponentially as they age.

I will once more point out my lack of expertise, but seems to me like maybe this whole time younger healthy people should be out, getting sick with this, almost always getting over it, building immunity all the while and that only those at-risk or who covid presents a clear danger to should be quarantining - or getting this vaccine for that matter.

Yes, let it burn out, you are catching on. This is what we have done many times over. Ubiquitous viruses are fought and defeated primarily by the T-Cell lymphocytes within our immune systems, Not from natural or artificially implanted antibodies.

...uh, thanks?

No, but I've kind of thought this for awhile now, although I do also think what I said about older sickly people getting out of the way. Every virus/pandemic is different, but back in the day when people could actually talk about this by name without being censored, I saw some knowledgeable people estimate herd immunity at as low as 30%.

Even bumping that to 50%, if the 50% who get it and get over are the ones with the 0.023-0.125% mortality that makes a lot more sense than getting to the same herd level point with the general public (which, as far as I know at this moment is more like 1.8% as that includes sickly old people in there who are at-risk).

I’m going to assume that you are under the notion that some 500,000 people have died from Covid, & therefore mortality rate is higher, or at least raising as months have gone by. Well, that would be bullchit. I’ll keep on saying it, Covid has a lower mortality rate than the flu, far lower. The numbers are grossly misrepresented & we have all witnessesed this fact for months on end now.

I work in a healthcare and later on planes again. I am also prone to illnesses due to the air on the plane and all the nastiness passengers come up with. It was my choice and not forced on by anyone. My idea is that people do worse things starting with injecting botox, fad diets, alcohol, drugs, unhealthy food. I am sure my body can handle the vaccine no problem

I'm going by the official figures, yeah. I do accept a lot of hospitals were incentivized to over-report or jump to covid as a cause (i.e. George Floyd? Died of covid. He had it at the time of his death, so officially it's the cause...).

The thing is, nobody is investigating that so we'll never really know and while I can mentally assume covid is likely beneath the official stats, it's just a guessing game. I don't know about the flu, though. On that one, covid "officially" is 15-18 times that and while I'm sure some inflation is going on, I would be shocked to see it so grossly high, shocked and would need hard evidence to support those figures.

Ok, okay..I hope you remember that argument. I care because I’m tired of only one narrative being pushed & sold on the public. I care because as much as I may disagree with people, the last thing I want is to see them suffer & pass away because Big Daddy Government & Pharma sold them on a lie.

What makes you so sure? I hope that it does no problem, but the problem is there are no long term studies on these vaccines. they aren't even FDA approved. Just know, you're now officially part of the vaccine research. Worst of all, you chose to do it. but like you said, your body your choice. doesn't effect me. wish you the best.

I had astrazeneca(x2) which is produced and approved in the UK. FDA is American and more likely to approve Moderna before it approves foreign vaccines. When you get vaccinated you get asked a lot of questions plus have to give your consent to being vaccinated. No one can decide it for you or make you do it. So I don’t know why people worry about others deciding to do it. I don’t go forcing my agendas on anyone, working at vaccination centre I am fully aware that people can turn up but change their mind or not be suitable

It's funny they upated the article on March because the article received too much negative backlash, but someone screenshotted what it said before they edited it

https://www.express.co.uk/life-style...na-coronavirus

Kind of reminds me of the "editing" they did on this article I posted about in my old thread.

Exactly. See we look at life through different glasses. You are paranoid and fearful and with negative mindset, already assuming it will affect me negatively

I am on the other side where I think I will hardly remember having it years from now and that I will still live my normal healthy life.

Both have no proof of being correct. It’s just the mindset question. If I was scared and paranoid, I wouldn’t have got the vaccine. However, I don’t go around making up assumptions about someone’s lifespan without having any strong facts.

So according to your argument you scared and paranoid about a virus with a 0.02%
Mortality rate.

If I got covid virus I will hardly remember having it years from now and that I will still live my normal healthy life.

Science.

you didn't answer the question. how can you be so sure that your body can handle the vaccine? On top of that, how can you be so sure about the vaccine but not sure about covid 19? by your avatar, you look like you are in good shape. that means your risk of COVID is statistically zero. Now you have to worry about risk from covid AND risk from the vaccine.

lolol.....no. No negative mindset here. I already had covid. I beat it no problem. I stayed home when I was sick and no one else got covid from me. You state how you will hardly remmeber having the vaccine but that just tells me you're not really aware of what is happening. Many "experts" are saying you will need a booster for covid 19 vaccine every year. It's funny that you say you never got the flu shot (neither did I) but you were so happy to get the covid 19 vaccine to "help out society".

And again, none of these things you can be sure about because there is no data out there that can prove your claim. However, there is plenty of data that backs up the claim that; as a young healthy person, your risk from covid 19 is statistically zero.

Like I said, wish you all the best. Enjoy being part of the experiment. I will pass. no point in getting it. if i got sick again, i will beat covid again because i'm young and healthy.

Kind of reminds me of the "editing" they did on this article I posted about in my old thread.

Like I said. Gods work.

I feel bad for the younger bros looking for a wife because I forsee a shortage of women in the future since the vast majority are incredibly stupid and will fall for this and take this poison.

The sloot itt is the perfect example.
Isaiah 45:22-23. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

I am fully aware of that. I had my first in February and second last week. The blood clot cases are a few and far between if you look at the percentages and they appear quickly rather than 2-3 years along the line. When I got my second I knew about the risks already.
Countries like Denmark and Norwegian are using different vaccine and have suspended AstraZeneca temporarily
