Brb getting access into the mind of another person and learning their wisdom in just a few hours. The closest fukking thing we have to plugging into the Matrix.

Read the best brahs, novels, nonfiction, whatever, but read and do it without distraction.

And what exactly did you learn from books OP? I'm not knocking it, but I've learned plenty just from miscing/redditing/youtubing.

I'd suggest sticking to shorter works brah. To build up your attention span and focus enough to delve deeper later on.

Mirin brah. When you finally make it and realise the pursuit of vapid wealth isn't all it's cracked up to be, you can always start reading again.

Idk why people glorify reading.
Except that it's extremely high-quality consumption of the best thoughts and ideas there are (as long as you read great books). Not brain-rotting trash. Books are by far the best way to gain true knowledge.

The first three are worth reading. Most of the others look like low-quality pop books. I would skip them.

I'm always searching chit so being curious helps I guess. Plus once you get into one thing you find something else e.g. you might see a good movie and read up more about it only to discover that it's based on a novel. That, plus whatever you are feeling at the time, there's always a book for something. For a beginner you might consider any from a variety of "best book" lists just to get the curiosity juices flowing but be warned that often critics are full chit and I don't like tainting my experience by reading reviews. Just follow your curiosity brah. Or tell me a genre / type of story you like and I might be able to recommend something.

Thanks brah, there is just too much choice and the critics and reviews are usually bs so I just quit.

Tell me your favorite fiction book and I'll buy it right now.

My job is to write books and articles, but I do not read as much as I should. These days I only read to research for work or acquire new skills.

My favorite thing about books is that you can learn to do basically anything with the right motivation. It's not easy either, really dense non-fiction or educational literature can be really boring and hard to get through. It's like lifting weights for your mind.

I've been meaning to get into more fiction and novels, but it's easier for me to just watch a movie. Sometimes I have to write and edit fiction for work, and that is kind of entertaining. I think years of writing technical chit for work have taught me to think about books as a practical resource instead of a source of joy or entertainment.

I'll read more when I'm rich. All my time goes into hustling right now. I still read occasionally but I'm not gonna become some book worm because it doesn't bring me monetary gains

6 books a year is a good aim for the average person
