Massive inflation headed our way...well fuk...it’s here already actually...

I overlook some purchases and it ain’t even funny. On a weekly basis purchases are costing anywhere from 0.5% to 2% higher than previous invoices.

I say weekly. That’s a big fuking deal!!

Y’all seeing anything like this?

Our government is giving people $40,000 - $50,000 in grants if they build their first home.

Meanwhile building companies raised their prices and material costs doubled lmao

It's not the 2% increase that is so concerning. The real issue is that it's only the beginning. It's a combination of terrible policies. The way overbloated covid stimulus packages that spent all kinds of money on stupid chit that had nothing to do with covid. Biden cutting like 70k oil jobs and ending U.S. oil independence with the stroke of a pen on day 1 of his term, which directly caused the hyper inflafion of gas prices we've seen skyrocketing since he did it. Gas will hit $4+ /gallon in even cheap cost of living places in the U.S., which will also cause goods to cost even more when companies need to pass extra shipping fuel costs onto consumers.

Lol at people insinuating it was the "stimulus checks" that caused the issues. Stimulus checks haven't accounted for even 5% of the covid spending. Those checks were just to keep the middle class, who will be fuked by this mess as happens with everything like this, happy. The government knew middle classers who worked through the entirety/most of covid were gonna be pissed about all the lazy bums getting paid probably more than they normally make to sit on their asssses at home for going on a year now, and all the bailouts of corperations and ridiculous blue state spending, etc. So they tossed the middle class (and povertycels already getting expanded unemployment) a few scraps of their giant spending bills and told them not to be mad about it.

My grocery bill has gone up from $350 per two-three weeks to almost $475.

It’s nuts!! Just the meats cost almost $180. Used to be $120

These numbers are post and per covid

Sat, May 1, 2021, 6:05 PM

"We are seeing substantial inflation," Buffett said at the Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholder meeting broadcast exclusively by Yahoo Finance. "We are raising prices. People are raising prices to us, and it's being accepted."

Buffett called out much higher steel costs impacting Berkshire's housing and furniture businesses.

They are making up for 2020 losses BIGLY.
I hate it, but it was expected with like "no profits" for several quarters while the country was locked.

We were getting early indicators of supply chain issues before the Christmas break.

We've been carrying a bunch of early inventory and locking down critical supplies for 2021 season since January, its going to get worse before it gets better.

Can confirm I work in distribution.

Price increase notices back to back and we're not talking small % here. The latest notice on plastics was 20% after already having a 15% a month before.

Our major supplies have all had price increases in the last 4 months. Talking 25% increases or more.

The low interest rates they’ve locked will keep them protected. Nothing will happen.

Cuz prices will come down (MAYBE) while interest rates will rise. Overall monthly payments will stay the same/similar.

Crisis from evictions and foreclosures (maybe), well that’ll be another story

It’s fine losers the inflation is just transitory because we had a big pump of QE to get through COVID and now we’ve backed off. The other half of the price increases is from supply shocks. Hyperinflation is just fearmongering by gold and BTC shills.
