The Rock has a net worth of 400 million, he's pushing 50, I guess he really wants to maintain his physique but at what point has he accomplished enough and is now just lowering his life expectancy. I understand that you can use gear for a while in your 20s and 30s and it probably won't kill you in the long run as long as you get off/stay off at some point in your life, but 49 years old?
Look at a guy like Rich Piana his heart basically exploded at 46 granted that was an entirely different level of gear, and his physique was his only source of notoriety and his net worth was only 4 million, but you get the point, can't just abuse gear indefinitely and act like it is never going to affect you. Arnold got off it at some point probably in his late 30s, early 40s and he had some heart complications and is still going strong at 73.

His entire shtick as a Hollywood actor has always been to look like a huge, ripped monster. Since he never evolved as an actor beyond that type of gimmick. It's hard to imagine taking him seriously in a role that isn't like that, or perhaps some corny throw away comedy movie role that still relies on it to an extent.
So of course he's going to do everything he has to in order to hang onto that. Honestly, I always found it pretty laughable that he was ever such a big deal as an actor when he was so limited. He's just a guy who got somewhat lucky to turn his WWE career into a legitimate movie acting career, was willing to constantly push the only gimmick (mass monster, sometimes cheeky/goofy muscle guy), and was willing to star in any lame movie role he could land.
So of course he's going to do everything he has to in order to hang onto that. Honestly, I always found it pretty laughable that he was ever such a big deal as an actor when he was so limited. The Rock knows he is facing a similar fate and is gearing up against the dying of the light, I just wonder if this guy is going to live to 65 if he is going to keep going at this pace. It seems unsustainable.
