Disagree with this. It’s too close to July 4th, and I believe we will turn out to be very divisive to have this holiday so close to our Independence Day.

You’d think celebrating being the last developed country on earth to abolish slavery would be a stupid idea but then Americans celebrate Christopher ****ing Columbus, who never set foot or heard of the USA, so I’m not sure what to think.

It's a good way to remind people that ending slavery involved more than the Civil War and the Emancipation Proclamation, which will be especially hard for public high school teachers to communicate to students once Republicans replace "slavery" in textbooks with "employment permanence."

Lol. Racially liberal Republicans existed briefly during the Civil War and Reconstruction and have been dead for 150 years. The Republican base are now racially conservative whites who are far more likely than Democrats to think it's cool to fly the Confederate flag. Grow up, kid.

Aww. You actually still believe that myth.

Warning.

Beware.

Don't fall into the Marxist racial propaganda trap.

Yes there are racial issues .. but first understand that a racial issues trap is being laid for us all - just like an ethnic issues trap, a class trap, a business trap, and many other Marxist-styled traps.

If you fall into the racial anger trap then -they- have won against you. Yes I know it's hard because I myself also fall into this trap sometimes.

There are many differences between black and white that are exploitable and that's exactly what they are doing.

Another racial or ethnic or religious group is -NOT- your primary opponent; is not the most dangerous group opposing you.

Existed briefly? You mean the same Republican party that was founded for the express purpose of fighting the Democratic Slave Party?

Yes. That one. Like I said, that was 150 years ago. Republicans are now the party of states rights, the Confederate flag, Confederate monuments, and bringing up "black on black crime" when people want to talk about systemic racism and want to teach high school students that slavery sucked for the slaves.

Maybe we should teach the fact that the majority of black people live in democrat controlled cities and maybe that's why they're having a hard time.
