Misc Home Gym Crew Check-in!

Finally got a leg curl/extension machine in that I ordered 2 months ago, decided to clean the place up a bit and snap a few pics. I still need to build another shelf or two for random stuff but this is pretty close to a finished product right here. Post your current setups ITT!

Put it together this year. Elliptical will be the next purchase to put next to the treadmill.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

I've for a long time been about more dynamic movements, not 1980s bodybuilding magazine ideas. I have kettlebells from light to heavy, 40 pound weight vest, multiple dumbbells, a vertical climber, pullup bars. If I ever add in more traditional equipment it will be solely for heavy squats and deads. Somewhere along the way I began preferring HIIT half or more of the time, with moderate to heavy weight. My 2 favorite exercises of all time are probably weighted pullups and jumping squats with light dumbbells. Both take your breath away, both give power. Both easily done at home.
Yeah Buddyyy! Light weight! Light weight baby!!!!
I always lel at the home gyms with American flags next to made in China Titan Fitness gear.
Meh. Weight is weight, and it would have cost 3-4× as much to put this setup together with all Rogue stuff. I would be willing to pay a little extra for American made, but not a 200% or more markup for the same end results.
How is that titan safety squat bar?
I love it, but the only other one I've used was an even cheaper version at my old gym, so I can't make a comparison with the top end models.
Nice, D. Why did you put the rack in the corner like that? seems like an odd deceision....
It was the only placement that would clear the fan blades with the front uprights and still allow room for the bar/plates.

Don't have pictures, but have a...
-Rogue fold-away rack
-Rogue Ohio power bar
-York Barbell plate set and 5-50lb dumbbell set.

Made myself a 3-in-one plyo box for under $60, before lumber skyrocketed to do step-ups and box jumps.
Also, acquired an older treadmill last year which was clutch in the winter months.

I'd like to get some accessory pulleys for lat rows and other cable isolation work. I keep seeing ads pop up on my insta and ******** but am leary as I've bought from some of these spam-ad companies before and they usually end up coming from China and take 4 weeks to arrive with little to no tracking info. Any suggestions?

Yessir it is the seated version. I only did a couple light sets of each once I got it put together to get it adjusted how I wanted, I'll be putting it through it's proper paces today after work and will report back. It does feel pretty good and solid right off the bat though.

That is a pretty sweet home gym. Lots of good home gyms in this thread.

Would be nice to get some more gear, just a bench with plates and some dumbbells.

I gotta work with this like those Russian calisthenics dudes. This is all I got for now and I always work out at home.

Mine's pretty basic. Squat stands, barbell/weights, and a few kettlebells. I can do pull ups and dips on the squat stands. Home gym is my patio.

In my experience all the benches with built in leg curls have horrible profiles and are useless. If I had to pick one, I'd probably try PowerTec.

Basic stuff - Powerblocks, Powerblock adjustable kettlebell, pro-grade bench, TRX like straps.

I had nothing during the pandemic but have been adding as I find things.

No new pics to share. Gym is currently a mess bc I've been so busy I pretty much get in and out to train. Need to get some better lighting and clean up.

This thing isn't awful.....but not great either. If you keep it really smooth and controlled it's functional. Personally - don't think it's worth the pricetag. The Lat Tower attachment or fly attachment are better options.

For garage gym crew (preferably ones in colder states) how do you prevent plates and equipment from rusting?

I had my stuff in a garage for less than a year (not set up) when I got my house and the plates got so rusty.
Everything depends upon execution; having just a vision is no solution.

Performance and performance alone dictates the predator in any food chain.

Basic, compared to a lot of the setups here, but it meets my needs. Also have a flat bench that's just out of the picture.

My poor man’s HOME GYM.

I spent most of my time in my study-cum-training room when I am at home. A six-mat* space which is roughly nine feet by twelve feet, where more than a thousand of DVDs(movie), TV, my private and WFH PC and my training equipment are struggling to find a way to coexist. *a Japanese tatami mat *1.82m?; 37.6 in by 75.2 in*

I also eat and sleep using futon bed in this very room.

Every time before starting my workout, I have to rearrange my room and other knicks and knacks in order to set up the workout equipment

A bench with a leg attachment. I have never bought new equipments aside from a few bars and plates since I bought the ones I currently am using. Those are my heroes!!

A chinning stand: For Weighted Chin-ups *up to BW + 60kg=123 lbs* and Squat *up to 120kg=265 lbs*

The bench and the stand have been my best buddies for the last 35 years. Though had to patch up with duct tape, never once re-tightened the bolts. I'm really proud of them!!
