Joe Biden was a very beatable opponent, in my opinion. A lot of people didn’t vote for Biden, they voted against Trump.

Because the 600k Americans who died had family who didn't appreciate Trump's mixed messages. Covid sank him.

The appeal of the cult fails when friends and family die. That's why I love asking Trumpers if they would kill for him or die for him. While they may say yes, their families obviously matter more. Seeing mom and dad die because of irresponsible governance and reckless disregard for science has a way of affecting your opinion.

The Republican party's primary base is white men. They lose in pretty much every other demographic. And even there, about 45% of white men oppose Trump. It would be wiser for the Republicans to abandon Trump completely in the long term. He is popular, but his practices will eventually doom the nation.

Personally, I think Trump has killed more Americans than ISIS, Russia, China, and pretty much every enemy of America. He also presents the possibility of more deaths and the total destruction of our government. It is my view that he should be tried and executed for treason. His ideology should be eradicated from this Earth and his supporters should be driven into the shadows and cast out. He is a dangerously stupid man who presents an imminent national security threat. I think a large chunk of this country agrees.

He didn’t have a coherent campaign message. Last time it was simple: better trade deals, build the wall, drain the swamp, repeal and replace.

During his term he only did 1 of those 4. Also he had a record to run on, instead of being a wild card. Hard to be the outsider when you’re the incumbent.

Forget the fraud and irregularities, which I have no doubt happened. He was against the media complex that controls the consciousness of much of this nation. Veritas and others have corroborated what Trump supporters already suspected: the media was anti-Trump.

Much like a broken clock, one of the few times Trump haters were correct in criticizing him was in his lackadaisical approach to cabinet appointments in 2017. His early-term staffers made it very clear, they were completely subverted.

Democrats were highly motivated to vote against him (media, covid, etc.)

Voting rule changes (many of questionable legality) that allowed mail-ins either fundamentally changed turn-out compared to historic norms, or enabled fraud, take your pick. Actually, some degree of both is probably most likely and I would lean towards turn-out being the larger factor of the two.

He also lost some republican voters, particularly women, that couldn't get over his tweeting and general in your face style.
