For all the "odds are not in your favor" guys, yeah I guess that's a concern if you consider yourself average or even below average. If you refuse to accept mediocre and push yourself to success, you can make just about anything work. Do you know how many people said that screenwriting doesn't pay, or odds are against you? And yet here I am, finally making it onto IMDB, after writing 12 feature length screenplays, 2 novels, and multiple shorts- with 3 screenplays under contract.

You can if you believe you can. If you believe everyone else's fear of failure, you won't win at anything.

Toxic people are toxic. If you have someone that CONSTANTLY needs you to help them or pay attention to them or they continuously have problems/issues, those are red flags. Don't assume it is you. But don't assume it's not you. Both responses are a ditch on either side of the same road. Make an effort to talk. Talk means speak AND listen. Don't just talk. Don't NOT talk. If you can't talk, think about moving along. Maybe they aren't ready, maybe you aren't.
