LMAO at the miscers getting defensive ITT.
Some people actually does not believe in the vaccine, ie. they believe it doesn’t work or believe there’s something other than “vaccine” in it.
… and the reason? There’s millions of idiots in the world.

Meh. I'm not really smart. But why take a vaccine for a virus with a death rate of less than 1%?

It’s quite simple, people are skeptical about msm and gov constantly lying. They dismissed the virus lab leak theory as CT and now back-pedalling, how can anyone trust what they say?
They dismiss the risks of the vaccine and censor anything against it so logic would say, how is this not a repeat?
The MSM on both sides have shown very clear bias, I.e mostly peaceful protests, hiding the race when it’s black, sensationalising it when it’s white on poc, coming from a POC, I just noticed this. So I don’t trust them.
The truth shall prevail. If the vaccine is safe, have an open debate and answer the hard questions in a debate manner over it on live TV, then they can quickly dismiss CT theories easily. The fact that they’re afraid to even have that conversation and censoring the opposing views, we’ll, tell me, why in every instance in history has anyone ever censored the opposing views and how did that work out in the end?

I believe the vaccine is effective and the side effects likely minimal, I also believe I have no real reason to take it, the same way I sometimes accept the flu shot or reject it depending on how I feel. No desire to go get it twice and feel chitty for a couple days. It's also rushed and in that sense I have no great faith that it is 100% safe, but I've also roided and smoked a lot of weed so clearly I'm not a purist when it comes to what I put in my body. Just don't particularly want it unless there's a reason to get it. The constant propaganda and fearmongering is also extremely obnoxious, I'm pretty anti-authoritarian so the fact these *******s are pushing it so hard and the overexertion of their influence is annoying. Though a lot of anti-vaxxers are idiots, I'm glad the public does not trust the government or corporations.

If I never acted as a vector in those circumstances, me going to the grocery store isn't gonna do it either. Not convinced by this fearmongering.

Despite us having greater c diff and norovirus outbreaks than any COVID outbreak that could be linked anywhere. The entire thing is a farce boyo. Not in the sense that it doesn't exist or doesn't kill people, but in the sense that even medical professionals---INCLUDING INFECTION PREVENTION---made it obvious they're just pretending and making things up as they go.Alright but if cases spike again and the gov orders lockdowns, you know it could have been avoided potentially. Also, if the virus mutates to a resistant strain, we will have a repeat of before.
I walked around with a 300 page binder telling different CDC guidelines to different front line workers as they altered it every day. As a nurse I went from having infectious control telling me masks become useless after one shift, can't touch your face, can't put it below your chin to eat or anything, droplets destroy the integrity of the material, etc. to us pretending that you can indefinitely re-use masks, including these people who wear the same cloth mask everywhere. There was a reason we always used a new disposable mask every time we entered a room of a known contagious patient prior to this. These people wearing their masks everywhere for weeks were never anything more than hygiene theater---that's what most of this response is. 'Amusing' to see how completely useless so much of our posturing was, like disinfecting everything, constantly changing guidelines, temperature checks, somehow taking over a year to discover how surface transmission worked (or didn't), etc. A disgusting farce from the medical establishment at large.
If they want to order lockdowns, they can go ahead. Not going to change anything. Australia is already doing it with 0 deaths and a few asymptomatic cases. Me getting a vaccine is not going to stop COVID from mutating, the same way me getting my flu shot does not stop various influenzae A and B strains from alternating on a yearly basis. I don't think it could be avoided, infectious diseases/microorganisms are part of nature and we have been saying we are overdue for a superbug or pandemic for a long time. You should be more concerned about the development of things like MRSA and other antibiotic-resistant superbugs instead of a coronavirus variant. After all this fearmongering, when a true threat pops up, the CDC and other health organizations will have shot themselves in the foot by alienating so much of the general population with their waffling and doomsaying.
If anything we should be focusing our efforts on creating novel methods of eliminating or preventing superbugs beyond our traditional over-used medicines, instead of this panicked retroactive response to something that already occurred. Now how much money will we spend on new vaccines and attempting to control low-risk variants when we can focus that on so many other health issues?
