After doing a bit more reading,BB.Com is going to get carved up and dumped. Here's what they did to SkyMall:
The data-analysis site Priceonomics estimated Skymall’s 2009 revenues to be $130 million, 60% of which came through the website. It had a bit of life left, but when the end came it was swift. First, Spire Capital sold its stake in SkyMall in 2012 to Direct Brands, a media holding company owned by a Phoenix-based investment firm called Najafi Companies. As the Los Angeles Times pieced together, Najafi sold SkyMall the next year to a company called Xhibit and became Xhibit’s controlling shareholder. Xhibit then sold SkyMall’s lucrative loyalty program, SkyMall Ventures, to pay off a loan from a lender controlled by John Najafi. Without its loyalty program, SkyMall’s revenues plummeted. Najafi Companies exited Xhibit in 2014;SkyMall went bankrupt in 2015, and sold for just $1.9 million after the bankruptcy.

Nah. I thought maybe that was the case a few weeks ago but then I realized miscers still addicted to the misc are just in shambles because the glory days are over. Website is changing a bit, it continues to be a poor website in its structure and function but it wont shut down. Maybe the misc will one day be blown up, but tbh everyone would move on. Rest of bodybuilding.com will remain and that's what matters the most as fun as misc was

The internet in general is filled with soft moderator and owners, misc is still the last stronghold where you can speak your mind pretty much as fully as the streets. Only difference is now, they seem to be cutting down on the hate speech a small amount. That's about it

Old MISC died long ago when mods started going after all the personalities - Mr Angry, timothy1, WSSicks, h4te, badboy2, etc. The last true personality was GMiscer, and he's gone now. Even back in the day, people used to say the MISC is where 4chan memes go to die. The MISC used to be much funnier, and much less political. It was just kids making fun of each other. Now everything is political, mirroring 4chan. /b/ used to be where its at, but now /pol/ has several times the number of posts compared to /b/ People can't be fukked having fun anymore, and are just angry and political all the time. The fall of MISC is just mirroring 4chan, except accelerated by ****** The era of forums is over. Its all tiktok, ********, reddit, etc. The stuff the big corporations mandate for you. Most people can't be fukked logging in, and image tagging stuff. They want to go on reddit, tiktok or ********, check out all their interests in one place.

If they are smart, they would encourage the personalities to come back to get more traffic via ad revenue instead of selling supps. I remember h4te crew going around the forums like a gang, it was pretty epic and funny, would come back everyday to see who he had beef with. Selling supps is a dead model, COVID killed the fitness industry. Plus, no one is going to believe the celltech bullchit ads anymore, everyone knows its cycling that does it. We're a long way away from the early 2000s where GNC plastered all the products with pictures of flex wheeler and ronnie coleman.

While what you mentioned would be funny and fun for some of us users, you have to realize that bb.com is a business and that kind of stuff was/is a huge liability.
