well, I have the cdc telling me that only 1% of deaths are from vaccinated people so my confidence is kinda shot with them

I believe the thread topic was censorship.

Its okay to throw molotov cocktails and attack police because im doing it for a morally superior reason, its okay to force people to wear masks and take vaccines because my moral superiority says its right and you're wrong so its justified.

Now the big question is how far will people take that justification and how bad of things will they do with a clear conscience because they are morally superior.

Did the Nazi Gemrans kill jews because they were sadistic evil people? Its foolish to think that, you are living in a fantasy reality if you think a whole country was just sadistic and evil. They did it because they were convinced at the time that it was the morally superior thing to do. They thought they were doing what was right, and because of that, it was okay.

People are losing grip with what is right just because it is right or wrong, and separating their own personal emotions and opinions from that.
Yeah I definitely agree 100%. Most of those people are the types that think it is okay to do that stuff bc it is for the benefit of the majority. It's funny because they happen to love their science and data, but when the data goes against them they scoff and say it's wrong and made up. That's when the moral superiority takes over to its highest degree. We currently live in a society that is full of lies. Virtue signalling this day and age is just dangerous now. It has almost become more like social conformity. If you deviate, you get insulted doxxed and just a whole bunch of bad chit. I sometimes think that ppl who follow that thinking are truly weak mentally and physically. To actually act like that towards others who disagree with a way of thinking just seems vindictive and they can finally do something. The propaganda is real and ppl are eating it up.

because he actually gives precise valid reasons rather than "better be safe than sorry" as the reason. I want to know beyond a doubt a mask will protect me from getting covid. If that can not be proven then I see no reason to wear masks. If your reason is just because it possibly may by chance prevent covid, then ill pass.

i don't agree with it either, but like you said that doesnt mean I think the other 99% of his legislation is now invalid, but thats how these cancel culture, lgbtqia activists, blm acvtivists think. Trump was the worst president ever literally for 2 things, he said grab a woman by the pussy, and he passed a healthcare and military law stating they would not pay for or enlist transgender people because of the cost of reassignment surgery. Oh and the wall.

So because of those 3 things he was a racist, misogynist, and anti gay and everything he stands for is wrong. You are even taught in the LGBTQiA classes, which I have had to attend for work, that if you dont stand for even 1 LGBTQiA law, rule, or negative stereotype, you are NOT an Ally and are anti LGTQiA completely. That kind of thinking is literally ingrained in the culturew.

anyone who has learned about interpreting research in college or through independent means knows that you have to look at certain things in a study for validity. Here is a study the CDC has been toting as evidence that the vacccine DOES offer more protection than having had covid, if you cant tell the massive issues here you are an idiot:

sample size of 250ish people
80% had covid
20% had the vaccine
of the covid patients, some had covid as late as march 2020(1 year and 3 months exposure)
of the vaccinated people, they started receiving the vaccine in march 2021(3 months of exposure at the end of study)

They found that twice as many people who had previously had covid got it a 2nd time as opposed to those who got the vaccine and then got covid

So at most you have 50 people who had the vaccine and got covid again, I think 5 got covid , and 11 got covid who had covid previously. So you can really make a full conclusion from 5 and 11 people? you also think the fact that those 11 people had 1.5 years to contract covid isnt a variable as opposed to people who got the vaccine and only had 3 months?

But the CDC thought this was the study to prove that.

Why? because they cherry pick specific studies that validate what they want. Literally, thats what they have been doing the whole time. They arent taking what the majority of tons of studies say, because thats not happening. They are selectively picking the ones that are flawed but somehow managed to give a result they can make a headline for and say "see, we were right, do what we say"

people are so obsessed with the pseudo-autocratic abolishment of democracy that they don't realize censorship is for the best of all. when the average person has never taken a college course past biology 101, it's easy for misinformation/propaganda to destabilize the establishment created by much more qualified intellectuals/bureaucrats.

It's basically a catch 22 of pick your poison. Do you want the public opinion influenced by tinfoil hat rhetoric or info backed and verifiable by legit sources while being given the sovereignty to make your own informed decision based on the available info?

There are literally hundreds of studies that show masks lessen the transmission.

Of course they aren't 100% effective, but if your threshold for taking a protective measure is 100%, might as well do nothing ever.

IMO let 'er rip.

Free speech.

I know that the landscape has changed because now individual people with no particular expertise can reach thousands or more via the internet.

Unless what is being advocated for is absolutely beyond a doubt harmful [giving autistic kids bleach kind of stupid] let people figure it out.

The speaker in the video said vaccines aren't going to end this virus. Is that controversial?

The virus is staying.

https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-00396-2

Why can't our leadership just be honest?

This virus has become endemic. It isn't going away. Vaccination can reduce your risk of illness/death, but we don't know yet if the vaccine might actually increase the severity of your illness if you become infected [ADE]. Vitamin D and exercise are great preventatives.

Oh, and from the JRE clip:

78% of those in hospital for COVID are OBESE

Apologies if I was mistaken, but I was under the impression the video was censored from youtube and that is why the links have been to alternate streaming services.

if anyone should be censored its politically funded and owned mass media corporations. Yes including Fox. Right now every mass media corporation is completely biased in a political standing. I don't think the writers of the constitution ever thought freedom of the press would mean giving so much power to the media that they could manipulate the general public so much with misinformation and misleading studies and fringe scientists that we would land in the predicament we are in now of giving up all of our other constitutional rights because of fear and brainwashing.

Honestly the biggest thing to take note of in this day and age is how quickly the internet got taken over by a few massive services and how quickly that led to widespread censorship and propaganda.

"All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident."
The covid-19 era and the controversy about the vaccine's effectiveness and necessity will be the biggest example of this quote in the 21st century. Its just a matter of how long it takes it to get there.

But there WILL be a point in time when it's seen as patently obvious that the vaccine, and the misinformation and mandates around it were almost criminally propagated. There is absolutely zero doubt .

while its true that mass corporate media outlets weren't a thing until the early 1900s you would have to disprove the fact based connection between the founding fathers, masonry, and their connection to a certain elite society in Europe that supposedly come from the same line of people as those who currently own most the major media outlets. I'm not denying that's a lot of misinformation even from established sources, but almost none of the mainstream media is science based -- as I have said multiple times, it's primarily soft clickbait meant to sensationalize actual studies that most people can't really comprehend based on lack of science background.

you could read the source studies on the science for yourself, but like I said, the majority of people rely on other people to put it into layman's terms, and this is like relying on tabloids for a source of factual info.

CDC: 99.5% of COVID-19 deaths are from unvaccinated individuals
July 8, 2021
During the White House COVID-19 response team briefing on Thursday, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, said preliminary data from several states indicates that 99.5 percent of recent deaths from coronavirus are of individuals who were unvaccinated and could have been prevented with a vaccine

this is so disturbing that its even being touted as factual and then that people wholeheartedly believe this because if people believe this it makes us logical thinkers look like backwoods morons making up a massive conspiracy theory. It literally puts us exactly where they want us all because of a completely made up number that doesnt match ANYWHERE else in the world except Australia. Meanwhile other countries are showing closer to a 50/50 split between vaccinated and unvaccinated.

It is completely idiotic to think the rest of the world is seeing 50% while only in America we are seeing 99%. How do people not have a problem with this. It is clear as day evidence we are being lied to.
preliminary data from several states over the last few months suggest that 99.5% of deaths from COVID-19 in the United States were in unvaccinated people.
if you take wording like this as any sort of information beyond fictional entertainment, you are clinically a moron.

preliminary
"several" cant even give a real number
"few months" cant even give a precise time frame
"suggest"

none of those are usable words in science or making any sort of claim to fact.

I mean this is an article from 5 weeks ago and preliminary data, but obviously 99.5% is beyond suspect. It's hard to find much other information to cross check. However I found a recent article about Alabama deaths that states similar percentages.

"State Health Officer Scott Harris told The Associated Press that just 26 of Alabama's 11,600 COVID-19 deaths were people who were fully vaccinated, and almost 2,000 COVID-19 patients currently being treated in state hospitals are unvaccinated."

This is the best article I have found regarding the topic.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.krq...is-divide/amp/

Basically there is no raw data available to even try and confirm the 99.5% number. Seems completely unrealistic. I'd even be willing to believe 95%, but 99.5% is insulting.

However that doesn't prove outlier doctors are more right than general consensus. Just proves the federal government willing to lie to manipulate the general pop, which isn't news.

I never said the soviet state was fake, nor am I denying they've always censored heavily as a pillar of communist legislation. Is the TV series a nonfictional recreation of the actual history? I have not seen the TV series, so I can't really say for sure that speech in the video is legit or even relevant to the argument

Additionally, how would anyone know that the censorship in historical context is what led to the event, when censorship probably left all of that up the public imagination to begin with?

I am quite ignorant on the narrative though, so forgive my appeal to authority. Humans should not really be utilizing nuclear energy in the form of power plants to begin with as it is the equivalent of man trying to play god and harness the power of the sun on earth. But thats just my opinion

It is completely idiotic to think the rest of the world is seeing 50% while only in America we are seeing 99%. How do people not have a problem with this. It is clear as day evidence we are being lied to.

if you take wording like this as any sort of information beyond fictional entertainment, you are clinically a moron.

preliminary
"several" cant even give a real number
"few months" cant even give a precise time frame
"suggest"

none of those are usable words in science or making any sort of claim to fact.
Other countries with a much higher rate of vaccination will have a closer to 50/50. That's simple math.

This is the best article I have found regarding the topic.

Basically there is no raw data available to even try and confirm the 99.5% number. Seems completely unrealistic. I'd even be willing to believe 95%, but 99.5% is insulting.

However that doesn't prove outlier doctors are more right than general consensus. Just proves the federal government willing to lie to manipulate the general pop, which isn't news.
so where do you start for valid information?

If I had the answer, I would gladly provide it.

I think accepting there is no such thing as perfect science is a good start. Everytime new information comes available and disproves a previous consensus, doesn't mean the entire thing is a lie. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water.

My wife in an NP and shares an office with 2 MDs. All 3 have advanced degrees in medicine, all 3 have differing opinions on much of the covid debate.

Edit - not defending the 99.5% numbers, cause that's crazy. However our low vax rates will always have us having a larger ratio of unvaxxed deaths than these countries up over 90%.

Doctors can be wrong and usually are depending on the case and circumstance. I used to have acne, had every physician and dermatologist tell me to take antibiotics and accutane. None of them recommended cleaning up my diet, fixing any nutrient deficiencies, or even changing up my skincare routine, which were the things that ended up working for me. All of them were in a rush to prescribe me pills which many of them openly admitted were only a temporary fix.

I'm sure most everyone has experience with doctors being wrong, in one way or another. Their heads are usually in the wrong place, despite *maybe* having the right intentions.

They literally study "medicine" and not "health" so their entire preposition is that medicines are going to be the solution to most, if not all of your problems. While just living a healthy and active lifestyle usually prevents most health problems somebody can run into. On top of that the entire science if littered with paid for and bought studies so that big pharma can make more money. The entire thing is so flawed.
