The federal government hasn’t increased the number of residency program positions in a very long time. The supply of qualified grads has surpassed the number of available training slots. A medical school grad cannot practice without completion of a residency training program, so they’re screwed and left with an almost worthless $300k degree.

Now when you add in NP/PA’s being hired over MDs, the situation has become worse.

my phaeggot hospital sent a letter saying they would not allow any PATIENTS in without vaccination... I was like wow... so you are going to let people die or go untreated because they choose to rely on their immune systems for the flu...wu flu, but still same thing. They dont check your vacc status or exclude you is you dont have the vaccine for any one of the majorly deadly viruses that have actual authorized vaccines, but this one is apparently (D)ifferent? I dont understand how people dont see that this is about something else and always has been. This has truly gone too far. We need to put an end to this once and for all. im losing faith in America day by day.

A few nurses I know are quitting. They told me they don't care how much time and money was spent in nursing school, they refuse to take this thing.

Definitely think we're going to see more and more of this.

And this is what I've been telling family members. They're going to try their hardest and pull this bull**** at some places and straight up refuse to treat you if you haven't got the shot and all the boosters. It's not legal but we see how they've wiped their ass with the constitution lately.

I wouldn't be surprised if some hospitals are giving people the shot secretly after they've been admitted, srs.

Vaccine mandates are going to go down as the blunder of the Democratic Party. Just like gun control in the 90's, they will push this vax crap and people are going to vote the out.

Put in any specialty (e.g., Internal Medicine) and 2020-2021 for academic year. There's a myriad of new residency programs opening in every specialty every year. Additionally, unless a program opens a new floor, the ACGME won't let the maxed trainee cap budge. Residents get paid garbage compared to advanced practice providers, why would they feel any pressure?

It’s just helping the pharma industrial complex tbh.

Talked to a doctor who comes in regularly and he said basically icu is 80% but should be less than half that. They don’t have the staff to discharge people properly and people are staying for 2-3 days longer then they need to. Now they can take that 80% icu number and use it to prove this is a bad pandemic and we need more vaccines, lockdowns etc etc..

Government needs to take its fingers out of healthcare. Lots of nurses in our floor will quit once it becomes mandatory in October. Strange how we didnt need the vaccine until now...

Okay so what is the plan here realistically?

Are we supposed to have two different healthcare systems in this country?

One for the practitioners and patients that do not want the vaccine and one for the practitioners and patients that are vaccinated?

Are we seriously going to wreck the United States over a freaking virus???

Vaccine mandates make me so angry. I might feel differently if:
- the virus was super deadly and contagious and killing 10% or more in all age groups

OR

- the vaccines were proven effective and safe based on at least a 2 year Phase 3 Trial
But no, we are told that in order to work at a job or participate in public activities we must accept an experimental vaccine of limited [and declining] effectiveness and with unknown long term effects for which [if they happen and are bad] we can expect to receive no compensation or support because the gospel of scientific mainstream opinion will say "you can't prove it was the vaccine".

Hospitals brought this on themselves. You force people to take an experimental "vaccine" that doesn't stop transmission or grants immunity, a "vaccine" that not everyone needs or wants then act surprised when the people quit and choose other career paths...So between police quitting in droves and now nurses are we going to start going after the fire fighters next? Go for the trifecta?

Legally they can't do that, if someone shows up requiring emergency treatment they can't turn them away.

Not gonna happen. Purely cope coming from people hoping the vaccine mandates backfire and hurt the institutions that implement them. A very small proportion will actually quit, and they’ll be the bottom of the barrel nurses anyways.

Nurse (med/surg RN) FWB has tested positive for covid twice. In November of 2020 and March of 2021.

In November, she had some symptoms and had 10 days off. In March, she didn't really have symptoms and they only made her take 3 days off.

She plans to refuse the vaccine and force them to fire her. She's been a nurse for 25 years and says it might be time for a career change.

my cousin is a nurse and just posted some dumb **** saying in Houston they are telling people "sorry there are no beds for your children in the ICU until another child dies"

So they are using threatening children's well being based in lies to scare parents into being extremely emotional about forcing people to get vaccines

What about the women starting on her first day of residency. The supervisor told her to give a patient orange juice. The patient was sleeping so she hooked it up with an IV killing the patient. This after going through medical school.
