what gives fuel to fire on these garbage stocks is to drive them with options market

market maker wants to be always delta neutral.

if everyone buys OTM calls say $15C

market maker now is gonna be short on delta/gamma.

in order to get delta neutral market maker will buy stock.

hence prices goes up.

mm job is to let that OTM expire worthless delta will drop to zero and they can sell the actual stock

if stock goes into money MM delta will be 1 and MM will have to buy stock.

so you end up with 3 scenarios.

1. shorts are down will need to cover

2. mm have to buy stock because tons of otm calls are going up OI increasing

3. retail starts buying shares

This might sound COMPLETELY POTATO but I have 1237 shares of Tesla, I'm kinda tired of holding them in a way, I started looking at premium for the contracts, and I'm like well why not just get as much premium as possible so I did a covered call for 880 strike for JUNE 16th 2023 since I had 1237 shares I did 12 contracts and each contact paid me $160.50(x100) =16,050 x 12 contract so I received $192,600 just in premium TODAY, plus if Tesla goes to 880 or higher and my contract gets exercised I just get rid of 1200 shares and I make $1,056,000 off of that as well..

Am I missing something here LOL????

I could've done a long out covered call for June 16th of 2023 for 730 strike which would be $203 premium x 100 = $20,300 x 12 contract = $243,600 paid out to me immediately. plus the $876,000 worth of shares, then if Tesla dips again or goes down I just buy a bunch of shares and sell another long-out-covered call for that juicy premium.

If TSLA goes to $880 or higher the contracts that you sold at $160.50 a piece will be more than that.

That's fine with me though, that just means I didn't make as much as I could've, but there's really no "loss" it's just like with selling any stock, once you sell it, it can always go higher than what you told it at.

But no matter what I'm still going to gain 192k which was already paid to me, and the $1,056,000 off the shares one they sell for $880, correct? Also, the 12 contracts will be out of my account as well once the shares are taken out.

That's perfectly fine, just like with any stock once you sell it, it could go up 10,20,30,40%. I'm perfectly happy with selling at $880 it's better than me selling it at $880 without getting 192k in premium. I know that's how I've always sold before in the past which was "ok once this stock gets to xx amount I'm going to sell" which I do, but I could've been just selling it with a far-out covered call because the premiums are so much higher as I'm now finding out.

so today they opened new strikes to $23C

and as usual idiots jumped into highest strike possible which spreads gamma exposure out (this is same thing they did with GME strikes to $690 and AMC strikes to $140)

gonna be very hard for this to hit $15 if there isn't more OI on $15C

market makers learned lot from gme/amc squeeze, they increase iv fast and write new far otm strikes


it does have more attention volume is already 5 times its average.
