This is the wrong mentality. The data is an unfortunate truth. We can debate the why’s and whatnot, but the one I’m going to ask you is why should individual Black miscers be made to answer for statistics they have nothing to do with?

Poverty is not the motive for violent crime. Poverty may be a motive for shoplifting or stealing... but rape, assault, and murder are a different matter.

First of all, you're conflatingallcrime andviolentcrime. If you want to make the argument that poor people commit more crime, you still have a long way to go before you can correlate poverty to violent crime. The majority of the crime committed by lower income people are things like drug possession and DUI/DWI.

Second of all, when you control for all other factors, black Americans are the most violent. This is evidenced not only by the data provided in the OP, but also by studies that have been done to directly investigate the false claim you are making that violent crime in the black community is correlated to poverty alone.

BRB the 90+ income percentile of black families has a murder rate of 10:100,000 and the 0-10 income percentile of white families has a murder rate of 0.4:100,000. That means that the wealthiest black Americans have more than 20 times the murder rate of the poorest white Americans.

And yet, there are still marked racial differences when you analyze the rate of violent crime based on level of income. See the chart in #48.

As mentioned in #49, it is 100% a repairable cultural issue as evidenced by the fact that since the 60s, the murder rate in all income cohorts of white families has fallen but in all income cohorts of black families, it has increased.

Are whites genetically evolving to be less violent and blacks genetically evolving to be more so, or does it seem more likely that violent black subcultures which have become more and more prominent in the mainstream of American society might be responsible?
