Thoughts? animation looks cool and it sets up the idea that the battle scenes will be great to watch. Looks like R R is back

Honestly was a huge DBZ fan back in the day but have found the Super-era **** very lacking. The Broly movie was alright but that was probably just because it revisited Broly.

Everyone chits on super, but I thought it was decent. Not without flaws of course, but overall still pretty good.

DBZ was GOAT and I miss that serious Goku. Goofy, aloof Goku never did it for me and the dumb ass tingly feeling saiyans completely ruined Super for me but I'll always watch cause DBZ 4 life.

I too loved DBZ back in the old days. Spent alot of time drawing DBZ in class instead of learning. Lol. I don't recommend that btw.

But I love what they are doing with the IP. The new animation is a huge step up from the old production style.

i think dbz stopped being good after the Cell Saga. That's when everyone became useless except Goku.

gotta be honest, I think that's my favorite DBZ movie. The animation was at the pinnacle, the characters were at the best point in terms of when the power tiers weren't old and worn out but they were still impressive and new, and there was a lot of pretty funny silliness before Super went way overboard with it.

Yeah same here. Broly the legendary super saiyan or the cooler movies were on par. Cooler was awesome.

It was serious, had metal in the background, has cut muscle/spiked hair outlines etc. I remember watching battle of gods in 2014 and thought it was so retarded when they made vegeta look like a schoolgirl in front of Beerus. Majin vegeta was the true ultimate vegeta.

Dbz lost its ways, just like 2012+ has.

I actually really liked dragonball super and thought the pace was a little better than the long drawn out tempo of dragon ball Z

i actually prefer the older and more rugged art style, the "cleaner" more "polished" look doesn't really suit Dragon Ball as a whole IMO.

here's a mashup of some 90's renditions of DBS scenes. in dragon ball super everybody just looks more goofy, the best way I can describe it. even in the older DBZ the music sounded more haunting and chilling.

I don't consider Dragon ball Super canon. It's just fan service, and a money grab to sell more toys. That said i still watch it, but it'll never capture the magic of Saiyan Saga, or Namek saga DBZ again. Or really any DBZ arc, not one Super arc has been better than any single arc of DBZ.

Ehh, with one movie coming out every few years - I'd prefer it was like Broly so I had a reason to go to the theater for it. If it is more chill "slice of life" type of movie, then I'll just watch it online.

Awful. I've seen every episode of DBZ multiple times over, select ones from DB, most of DBGT. Every single DragonBallZ franchise movie multiple times over (except the Dragon Ball movies). And all of Dragon Ball Super up until the end of Jiren saga.

This is the worst thing I've ever seen, srs. For the first 20 seconds of that video I was hoping this wasn't a movie, but some lame indy game.

Anyone who continues to watch this series is sitting on their last little threads of nostalgia from 20-30 years ago, or otherwise seriously loves the dancing embarrassed Vegeta, beta adult Gohan, power levels in the trillions, feminine sassy Freeza, and nothing is ever serious anymore Goku. Coupled with washed down lazy Rated G animations to boot.

EDIT: I need to work on being less negative in life. I like the Dragonball universe. I will probably watch this if there's decent reviews and/or a better trailer down the road.

Shame really. The Multiversal tournament arch was a great idea with serious potential and it just fell flat for me.

Anything after the Buu arc is non-canon. Super Saiyan Vegito is the most powerful DragonBall character and anyone claiming otherwise is wrong
