For those of you who don’t understand this;

Source Wiki

“A straw man (sometimes written as strawman) is a form of argument and an informal fallacy of having the impression of refuting an argument, whereas the real subject of the argument was not addressed or refuted, but instead replaced with a false one.[1] One who engages in this fallacy is said to be "attacking a straw man".”

It shows character weakness when one does this, but I don’t have high hopes of most here reflecting on their own behavior, especially the atheist

Atheists are not atheists because their actions are consequential or inconsequential, it is either because they hate God or the idea of God, or they do not see proof for the existence of God, or perhaps they have emotional/ethical difficulties and cannot reconcile them with the existence of a God which has supreme control of the universe.

If anything, I think atheists are happy with the idea that nothing actually matters, as that absolves the difficulties of reconciling evil with the existence of a God with control over everything in the universe.

Who cares about helping others suffering less?

You’re still operating under the presupposition that helping others is moral and just, and that it is good. There is no such thing as morality, or good and bad, as there is no objective measure in which to compare whether a behavior is good or bad and therefore moral and just. There is nothing.

From a non-religious perspective humans that cared about other humans and helped out their tribe/clan were more successful at reproduction than those that did not help each other out. Humans therefore evolved the desire to help and protect fellow humans like animals evolved motherly instincts. The ability to empathize has many survival benefits.

A religious person says that these feelings of right and wrong were written into the human brain upon design.

Right but that doesn’t prove that those actions are “good”, since what is good, can’t be defined. If anything, we could take a page out of Dawkin’s book and call those behaviors ultimately selfish, since at the end of the day those behaviors are done for the sole purpose of passing on your genetic material.

Then we run into the conundrum of whether selfishness is good? Well that can’t be determined because there is objective measure of what good is in order to make a comparison.

From your perspective you should be kind and inviting. Since you believe in a higher purpose of life why would you throw it away to be rude and push someone further away from what you believe? How will God judge someone that is so rude to other humans? No one knows the circumstances of another's life or what personal darknesses and difficulties they have been through. Always be kind even if others disagree or are rude.

There arn’t thousands of gods just many different names for the same deitys.

I think Jesus is lord though and came to earth to teach us Natural Law.

Orthodox Catholicism is what stopped all the child sacrifices and other terrible things that were going on when Europeans were living in mud huts.

Look what they have accomplished since then. Seems like evidence enough for me that there is some truth to it.

Hard to believe all that success Europe had and the many accomplishments they achieved under Catholicism/Christianity was “mere coincidence”.

Do you believe someone who simply says “I am a Christian“, is a real Christian, versus someone who does not admit to be a Christian but acts upon the teachings of Christ?

Now, do you believe that your post was productive in trying to learn from the experience and knowledge of others, or are you just out to insult and instigate evil in others?

I am not angry, resentful, nor upset. In fact, all this does is just fuel the fire of the passion of my own knowledge and actions.

I understand what’s happening on this forum. There are a lot of people who want to drive good people off the board. The board is dying, and I believe they are trying to drive out anyone who is conservative, Christian, or generally good so that we no longer have a platform to exchange these ideas.

Leftists Would love to shut down all forms of communication of anyone who is remotely conservative, right wing, or Christian.

And if you truly believe that you were indifferent, the know that you are actually making yourself the enemy of both sides and most likely in advertently creating evil whether you believe so or not.

There’s a good lecture by Peterson he talks about this, and part of the lecture was “if you were alive under Hitler, you would most likely be a Nazi“. Those who don’t have principles to stand on our easily swayed one way or another when coerced or pressured. Principles mean a lot, you have to be willing to stand for something or you’ll fall for anything

These religious creeps like OP preaching are really weird. I should just die because I don't believe in your god? Wtf kinda dumb logic is that. If you're so convinced about your beliefs why do you constantly need to call out others to try and reaffirm them.
