NFL is really just a league of the teams, which means "the NFL" is really referring to the 32 owners. The owners were set to investigate one of their own and of course the other 31 knew if one goes down the rest could too. So they protect their own and threw gruden under the bus as a distraction and for punishment of his questing their authority in the past.

At that level, you can’t be so careless that you’re putting stuff like that in emails. That’s just pure stupidity as ridiculous as it is. That being said, that kind of talk/language is so common in football locker rooms. The roasting sessions I’ve watched and heard coming from black, white, (any race of teammate) to each other were 100x worse than this. Hell the things I’ve heard guys say about Ron Zook alone make this sound like church gospel lmao. When it’s in writing though, it’s always going to come across as “that’s just the guy he is” as opposed to guys just talking chit.

It was dumb to write it on work email but 10 years ago they probably had a "bro culture" and didnt think nothing of it. That is the stupid thing with all of this, he is held to the current woke standard for things said 10 years ago when they routinely used "****ggot" in hollywood movies
