38 years old. 5'7 190. construction worker. decent shape. no health problems. non vaxxed. got covid on a monday and Tuesday fever set it. I had a fever for 6 days straight of 101 to 102. on the 6th day I passed out . took a trip to the hospital and covid pneumonia set in. stayed in the hospital for 7 days . first 4 days they just kept upping the oxygen I was getting. I got as high as 10 liters with a mask on before I started to go back down. eventually made it to 3 liters and got sent home with oxygen. 3 days of being home with oxygen I'm now on room air . I've been home for 7 days. oxygen runs around 93 to 94 and pulse around 100. if I walk to the bathroom pulse goes to 125 and oxygen level maybe dips a little. I can make it up my stair case and need to rest at the top. pretty ****ty scary experience. no visitors allowed in the hospital and being alone for 7 days is a pretty weird life moment . hopefully I get back to nornal soon. just thought I would share my experience so far.

I’m sorry you were in the small percentage to experience those issues. No underlying conditions?

I'm 40 and a diabetic with possible liver disease and the only thing I dealt with was losing my taste and sense of smell. Now sour cream smells and tastes like chit.

I never had problems growing up. 100 and 200 meter league champ in high school in socal . placed in c.i.f in wrestling . I still wrestle with one of my boys.

Having a physically active job (tradie) doesn't mean you are in good cardiovascular shape. I can only imagine the amount of food (and types of food) you have to eat to maintain a 30BMI with a tradie job. I am willing to bet you are not "healthy" as per how most would define it.
You won't get health insurance without risk loadings.
Being overweight is probably the biggest risk factor for adverse effects

one side effect I do have since being home is my feet are killing me. tons of inflamation. I have a pain on the inside of my left arm that hurts when I put it straight. right above where my i.v. was. arm stayed straight for 7 days so maybe that had something to do with it
