People seem to indeed only care about what you can offer them these days or what they can gain from you. They don't really care about who you are or value your humanity at all. This counts towards about 90% of the populace I think.

There’s only a few people who will genuinely care about you in this world (if you’re lucky), regardless of gender.

In fairness, there are only a few people I genuinely care about too. Most of you I don’t give a f*ck about


That’s the truth of it. I do think most people have a select few they genuinely care about though.

Only sociopaths care about absolutely no one. It’s just the odds aren’t in your favor to be one of those people for the other person more often than not. Even if you’re dating them and sometimes even if you’re married to them.

I was once taught that most people don't care about you, at least not beyond what benefits them. If fact, they like seeing you hurt and fail because it makes them feel better about their own chitty lives. Even if someone does care about you, they are still out for #1, being themselves and their own interest.
