Were you afraid the initial doses wears off in a few months? Did you get a an antibodies test done to check if the booster will help or not?

yes, except those vaccines provided immunity, the one you just took does not, the CDC even removed the word immunity from the definition of vaccine this year to reflect that lol

That’s why I kind of sit back and chuckle at the anger and negs that I get from some people on this topic. Some of it is just Misc being Misc of course.

But some of them are seething mad.

As you indicated, it’s not like I’m saying everyone should get one. I’m just saying that I decided to get one.

Id never neg someone or be mad at someone for getting a vaccine. I think you're low intelligence, but it doesn't bother me at all, it's your life.

not necessarily talking about OP here, but it's funny how people think that a vaccinated fat person has done their job in saving an ICU spot, but every unvaccinated person (including fit people!!!) is a huge risk to healthcare. in reality, the fat vaccinated person is still probably at a bigger risk than any unvaccinated young and fit lifter

guess who gets all the blame? unvaccinated people, regardless of their weight and health

The Germans laughed at decenters and the truth tellers of their time OP Look what happened to them.

Why do you think siding with authoritarianism will “work this time?”

Because you have a job? Lol didnt they just shut down so many businesses for almost a year?

Which is perfectly reasonable imo. I'm very much against the vax, but the way some people act on this forum about it is ridiculous (ie - LARPing NEETS sitting around criticizing others begrudgingly taking it to keep their job). I don't give a chit what you choose to do if you aren't pushing others or support the mandates.

30 years old, 6 ft, 330 lbs, sits on the couch all day, multiple health problems, vaccinated, the hero of the story - you're such a hero omgggg good for you for being responsible

20 years old, 6 ft, 170 lbs, lifts weights and plays sports, perfectly healthy, unvaccinated, the villain of the story - omfg the ICU is overflowing with dumb selfish irresponsible people like you!!!!!!!!

lol this. maybe we should have fat passports and start banning fat people from eating out at restaurants because they are clearly a hazard to themselves and the "fragile" healthcare system. Honestly I applaud people like OP who have the self-awareness that they are fat and probably unhealthy as it is.

Wonder how many people in these ICUs are either a combination of obese, old, multiple co-morbidities, vaccinated or unvaccinated. Truth is almost no young person who isn't fat, exercises regularly and gets enough Vitamin C/D and other minerals are going to end up in the ICU. Statistically zero.

So for the last 18 + months, you have been constantly exposed and you didn't die. Better get that shot asap!

But seriously, if you are personally in a high-risk category, get it.

The only thing that pisses me off is the push for low-risk people to get the shot and ignoring natural immunity.

Long time no see Deathstroke.

I don't have an opinion on him because I haven't really been exposed to him much. When the pandemic first started last year, I saw a couple of press conferences where he spoke, but that was it.

Not a single employee in my hospital has had symptomatic Covid despite being exposed to patients for 2 years

Children are almost entirely immune to Covid due to their near-superhuman immune systems; there's been less than 100 deaths and all of them were from children with serious prior illnesses like cancer

Almost all of my patients this year have been 75-100 years old, all were vaccinated that I can remember. Vaccine efficacy seems to be 30% at best because I've noticed no change in symptom severity since it's rollout.
