I like the bars for pull-ups but that's about it.

In the first pic you can get a nice workout if you know what you are doing. It's different than traditional weights. You'll use muscles that you don't normally hit with weight training.

In the 2nd pic, I have no idea wtf that is.

Rarely. Might occasionally do some rows to warm up or some face pulls with them. Also decent for practicing pistol squats which I did a few years ago for something to hold onto.

I used to work with an obese indian woman who tried to get me into TRX training. I'm sure a few exercises can be beneficial but overall I see it as some new forced gym fad for people who don't want to cardio + weights + normal calisthenics

You were bragging aboutyour judo skillin the other threads.

The fact is that I've never known anybody who is any good at judo or martial arts with lats like you.

The truth is you have no lats at all.

I'm 62 and how old did you say you are?

I also want to see your POST-COVID photos, because you have never updated your "dried squid photos" since 2019.

Lol @ Kaz's brutal takedown.

I don't understand what I could get with those TRX systems that I can't get with my adjustable rings attached to my ceiling mounted pull-up bar

I don't have a pullup station in my home gym but here's a vid form a week ago with 220lbs for 6 reps, SUPER STRICT, on pulldowns.

Come at me bro.

120lbs on the stack and a pair of 25s on each bullhorn:
post a video of you doing 3x12 real pull-ups. i bet you can't.

TRX is $150 and you can get suspension systems for about 1/3 that price on Amazon. Basically they are straps with handles, you can build them yourself for $10 at a hardware store. I use them for bodyweight progressions, especially with women who can't do pullups.

At my gym those are in an area reserved for staff training members so we can't even access them unless they go home. It isnt really something to plan your workouts around.

I am not sure why there is a urge to trash something like this.

It's a good tool to have in the arsenal as it will hit your biomechanics in a functional way through a natural range of motion.

I used something like this in the past for things like inverted rows and decline pushups, and it works great.

Yeah we use those in F45 training. I love the battle ropes and you can get some good angles on the TRX.
