10am, a 57 year old man was swimming 30 metres off shore which he does 3 times a week with his wife. His wife got out and was getting changed at the time.

A teenage boy in a boat saw the man struggling as the shark had just taken off his legs, then he saw the man disappear. He then raced up the beach alerting everyone to get out.

Cops and sea patrol have been looking for the guys body for the last 2 days and can't find anything.

Now don't get me wrong, shark attacks are a dime a dozen here, but for the person to be eaten entirely is a different kettle of fish.

Life's crazy boyos, when your times up; it's up.

1 shark attack is sensationalized while many car accidents happen with little to nothing reported beyond the local level etc.

Would rather face off against a drop bear, snake or spider than a Grizzly Bear or Mountain Lion.

Sucks for sure, but extremely rare. Always kinda mired the people that go joy swimming in The ocean instead of the pool though. He definitely knew the risks

When a shark is attacking you, your best defence is to punch them in the nose .
And if that doesn’t work, you stab them in the eye with your stump

Sad. I live far from the ocean. But we do get fatal grizzley bear attacks quite frequently. More and more every year.
