He's not sitting with his face right on top of the screen. 1080p looks fine at normal viewing distances.

And pixel density matters less at distance, it's more important for phones and pc monitors.

It depends completely on how close to the screen he is. PPI is hardly the whole story.

Where are you getting that 4K is horrible on 55”? From normal viewing distance that is more than enough. You wouldn’t even be able to tell a difference between 4K and 8k on a 55” screen from a few feet away. Far from it.

I have 20/20 vision and can barely tell the difference between 1440p and 4K on a 77” screen from a few feet away. Certainly not enough to have literally any impact on taking me out of the experience

Zombie Army 4 looks incredible IMO. I sit around 3 metres from screen and it still looks crisp as phuck despite not giving as much pixel power as an X series.

Feels like people aren't talking about Tales of Arise enough. I'm at the 39 hour mark and gotta say it's definitely my personal Game of the Year. Imagine FF7R but actually a good game and that's Tales of Arise.

fuark i kinda want to play Tales of Arise but don't want to fork over the full price. Plus I bought Berseria/Vesperia/Symphonia and have Xilia on PS3 emulator. Might wait for it to go on sale or something.

The DLCs and Master Levels are excellent. The new "Horde" mode comes out on Tuesday along with two new Master levels.

It's a brilliant game, even with the annoying jumping sections! It's not a huge issue as you just respawn right where you were if you die via falling. I'm glad I started on the lowest difficulty for my first run; as lowest difficulties go, this is quite demaning and you cannot stay at all still whilst fighting crowds.

So glad I turned on my ps4 and snatched The Last of Us Part 2 for the $12 ps now sub.




I loved the first one, it was awesome. The sequel is very good as well- a solid single player game with top notch pacing, story and zombie killing.


Also before my subscription ends, I snagged Nioh, Nioh 2, God of War, Mafia Remaster and FF9, hnnnngh. My body is ready.

Zheng when I beat the game I still loved Ellie despite the changes she went through. It’s like seeing any daughter going through tons changes of personality changes between 14-20. It happened but I still loved the Ellie character.

After walking in abbys shoes I still wasn’t sold on her. Because I cared about Joel’s story more. I was rooting for them (Joel, Ellie) and wanted their stories to flourish more. Them, Tommy and his wife wife. Even their survivor friends. Some of Abbys side however were bearable. But Abby just isn’t like able although she’s out for revenge the game is supposed to get you invested emotionally in her story. That didn’t happen for me.

I guess I’m just team ellie.

If the original girl character in Tlou 1 had been Abby and Ellie were introduced in the Tlou 2 as the new character then I feel like I still wouldn’t have liked Abby and could root for Ellie more.
But tolerated more than Kratos little brat Loki.

Tbh I was a little lost on the story. Isn't Abby that swole tranny? Anyways, I thought they captured Ellie and now she's escaped trying to find Tommy and Joel. I don't really mind the protagonist's motive in a zombie apocalypse- the survival aspect and all the locations do more than make up for it.

Game is pretty active. At least on the PS side of things, and there is no crossplay at the moment. Really enjoying it. What it does well it does really well, but you can tell a small team has made it when it comes to many aspects.

I played it for a bit and just couldn't get into it (on the XB side, XB1, not series). I'm sure its a bit better on the Series hardware but it just didn't capture me the way I thought it would.

Just DL'ed Ancient Gods 1 and 2 for Doom Et. as they have got solid reviews.

Played only a few mins of it and wow...within seconds of starting the game you are fighting Revenants, Mancubi, Hell Knights plus a heap of lower level grunts. I am ready for a slaughterfest though! Bring it on you pussies!!

Paid £22 for the 2 DLCs, but for highly rated DLCs I am willing to splash out a little.

Played Resident Evil Village on my PS5 and absolutely loved it. Beat it in like 6 or 7 sittings - time flew right by as you get so wrapped up in the game. Been a long time since I felt that feeling.


Playing Death Stranding now. I'm about 1/5 of the way through - it's definitely a change of pace and I'm enjoying the setting/tone. Like when you're out walking in a vast empty area and music just starts playing. I'm going to try to knock this out before November ends so I can play FF7+DLC all December.

Fukkin lol .... Never gets old when people who actually play the second game end up appreciating the gameplay and the story ... meanwhile you had all the autismos in misc gather up and start hating on this game, all because ellie was a lesbo, they made her character model "ugly" and the story part (no spoiler! but u know what i mean) .... Half of those people weren't even gonna buy the game in the first place but still decided to call it a chit game lmao.




I just bought Spec Ops the line since I've heard nothing but good things about it and I never got a chance to play it on the ps360 gen. Will be nice to play it at 60fps pc masterace.

Prolly one of the best parts about owning a PC/xbox is the backward compatibility ..... I would love to play MGS3 and MGS4, but unfortunately all those games are locked away on the PS2/PS3 and neither Konami nor Sony care about offering it for current gen, damn shame.

Finished Spec Ops ... Was kinda meh, story was "ok" but appartently that's the draw of the game, I didnt think it was all that tbh, it's different compared to other games, but still kinda meh ... Finished it in 3.5 hours as well, if I was a lesser person I can prolly refund the experience lmao, but i'm not gonna do that.



Anyway, just bought the Skyrim Special Edition so that I can play the total conversion mod, Enderal (which is free if you own the base game!) ... Heard some good things about it too and after a few linear games, I dont mind an experience like Skyrims open world.

I love the concept and gameplay loop. It caught my attention back when it released on Xbox but at that point I had given away my X1. I had thought about purchasing an X1X for it and PUBG but the reviews on early access were downright horrible for both titles. I think sometimes games release in such a poor state they sour people more than get them interested. Vigor is not without it's faults, and the style of game isn't for everyone but it runs very well today. Shame a buncha people probably got turned off from it early on.

But in the Forza thread Jay said he can ignore all that and enjoy a good game. Funny how when it's a Sony game it's a different story.

Been on a real gaming slump lately. Mostly because real life has also been on a slump. They say gaming is a escape from the perils of real life but I found out that I enjoy games so much more when real life goes well too.

Haven't really been playing anything except for Fall Guys lately. Its so much fun though lmao

I played horde on easiest diff and conquered first stage without too much bother. Only got one life left now. Playing horde solo kinda sucks.
