Does Bigtimeplayer still post here? Dude seemed to have the same issue where he couldn't talk to people.
Have you tried an antipsychotic like Abilify? Didn't do much for depression, but made me less agitated/anxious overall. I still don't want to talk/socialize much, but I don't feel like I'm being judged either.

The convos always have a hint of passive aggressiveness. Its just such a drag. Super draining.

They probably don't like you

If people start acting passive aggressive I don't talk to them. Especially men. But that's how a lot of them are now.

I just did some social maxxing for like an hour but then I got bored and my adhd/anxiety kicked back in. Im out of work and feel like I need to work hard again for some reason. I've always been like this where I need to either work hard or lift/exercise to feel normal

Idk whats wrong with me I keep putting myself in social settings but I keep getting anxiety and just an uncomfortable feeling along with losing my concentration half the time. I have legit adhd and generalized anxiety all day and it doesn't get any better until night time then I feel a little better. I'm always super anxious in the morning too udk why.

Just finished my work and now I'm just sitting in the bathroom stall. There's just nothing to do here. I talked about video games the last two days but it's like I can't keep going in the other room and doing that. It's just so boring. I wish I knew the secret to having a social life.

Go new places and try new things bro. Worst case scenario you'll have more to talk about. Remember dodgy experiences are more funny!

Got written up at work today for something that happened weeks ago. One my coworkers smarted off to me and i got mad so they wrote me up. Funny thing is the guy has had complaints by multiple people because he never works and he smarted off to me creating the hostile work environment but i got in trouble. I mean he might have too but idk. He literally is just always a prick and stares at his computer all day but as far as i know he's never been in trouble. First time i've been in trouble in 7 years working here.

I'm with AmuroRay.

This is entirely counterproductive and destructive. Just stop it.

What did you say to him after he smarted off?

If he just stares at his screen all day he should be fired.

He hasn't worked at all in at least 5+ years. He was mu supervisor up until about 16 months ago until get got demoted. Other people have complained about him and I finally started to also. Then one day he came in and started off to me about the work not being done (which he never helps with) so I walked out and punched a wall. I told my supervisor I can't work with him because he never does anything and he keeps smarting off to me for no reason but they won't do anything about it.

I even told hr and my supervisors I don't feel comfortable around him and that he smarts off to me and I feel like it's creating a hostile work environment.

Their response was moving his cube in the room I work in and now all he does is sit there beside me while I do all of the work. He literally just sits down all day or browses the internet. I see him online all the time.

He's a jew too. I literally don't know how has gotten away with this for so many years.

He sounds like a nightmare. If HR won’t help then you may have to find another job before you get written up again.

I think, often, about those who populate this thread. My hopes for all of you are always that you manage to find a way that helps you to heal, to find happiness, to find enjoyable activities, to find love. Yes, this fully includes everybody, even those who I may have strong disagreements with (e. g. see Post #9281). All of you deserve better than what you're experiencing.

If there are 500 people dealing with depression, and all of these 500 people find a way to transition to a more-enjoyable life, there will be precisely 500 different solutions, probably with more differences than similarities. Whatever works and allows such a long-hoped transition, depends on one's life-background. All of our lives are unique, as much as they are precious.

I just saw this article which I felt I should share. There is a new study happening in northern California (Stanford University) with magnetotherapy (? - therapy based on magnetic energy applied to the prefrontal cortex), which is showing extremely promising results combating and putting depression into remission. There are signs that the FDA may approve this therapy in 2022. I don't know if this will show up as a link in my post, or whether you'll have to copy-and-paste in your browser.

https://www.kqed.org/news/11898991/i...m_medium=email

Not only do I hope this is what it seems, but that it becomes available AND AFFORDABLE in the United States, and covered by insurance plans. (This uncertainly doesn't apply in other "Westernized/modern" nations, but much of the world knows about the singularly unaffordable healthcare system the USA is "blessed" with, which is highly unlikely to change...other nations will embrace this if it proves to work.)

Christmas, or whatever you may celebrate, is right on our heels, guys and gals. I wish you a lot of good holidays (because there are a lot of you). I'm considering where I'll spend my Christmas. It will be with somebody who will otherwise be alone. I can choose only one person, probably - possibly here in Chicago but on the far opposite side of the city about 25 miles away, or in Dixon 120 miles west of here, one of those is very likely! I may even do two "Christmases" on consecutive days, for this. I hope your holiday is both filling AND fulfilling.

With a lot of love...FRANK

Yeah during the day when everything is busy I get anxiety and just feel uncomfortable. Like I just went to the mall and walked in and right back out. It was packed. I don't go to the gym anymore either because of the same thing. But at night I start feeling better/more relaxed.

I watched this last evening and found it super insightful. Took notes on it as well to refer back to, as it takes practice to change your thinking.
