Everytime I see one on the road Im tricked into thinking it’s an Audi or something until I get close to it. Can’t believe how far they’ve come in design and performance.

Would buy one if they’re priced below German luxury, and this is coming from a bmw M owner.

I would never buy a non luxury car brand again after coming to the realization that even the best non luxury car will never be as good as a luxury car.

You get what you pay for and what you are paying for is a KIA.

I've heard good things about their higher-end sedans, srs. Not sure what happened to the K600 but I had that on my list of cars to check out back when they were out.

Depends on the brand, imo. I have an Acura and from all I gathered Acuras in many cases are rebadged Hondas. You can get a higher-end Accord that is a better car than a similarly priced TLX.

you'll be shocked if you check out the features on em, tellurides and palisades have more and better features than any luxury sedan minus BMW 100% dead srs.

kia's k5's are clean and the stinger is a solid rat racer, but i honestly think the sonata is one of the best looking cars on the road rn

Well with some quick research I found out that Kia poached some of the head design engineers from Audi and bmw a few years back so there’s that..

They might not quite be up there when it comes to build quality and status, but if they’re priced right then what’s not to love? We’re talking about a company that’s going all out on trying to change their branding and reputation.

their design engineer s had more to do with the style than performance or robustness.

And BMWs/Audis still look like BMWs/Audis without them....so....

Ya but you don’t know if they’re garbage or not.

Regardless, all I’m saying is they’re objectively attractive with strong power figures. Not sure I would actually buy one but I can appreciate their dedication

where are these strong power figures?

Remember when import guys thought putting 500whp down for 10 passes was top tier?

Imports never got out of that mindset. Import drivetrains absolutely suck 99% of the time and Korean drivetrains suck 100% of the time.

You make a good point with Acura honda. Maybe in the 2000s the Acuras we're rebadged but that isn't the case anymore. You are dead wrong about the TLX though. That was probably the year where Acura really went on its own as a luxury car. A well equipped Honda will never be as good as a TLX. It's impossible because the TLX has specialized engineering and more nvh materials, including better aesthetics.

So it's pure to try and compare luxury to non luxury especially with brands like Lexus.

HYDERABADI BIRYANI
Hyderabad, the city of my childhood, is justly famous for its biryani - an addictive delicious rice and meat/chicken dish. And Hyderabadi biryani is by far the most favored among the other regional versions.

There are two versions of Hyderabadi biryani:

Pakki biryani - cooked meat or chicken is layered with parboiled rice and steamed together.
Kacchi biryani - raw marinated meat or chicken is placed in a single layer in the bottom of cooking pot and topped with partially cooked rice and steamed together. This is the easier method.
What sets apart biryani is the texture of the rice grains - fluffy and separate, they almost scatter like pearls. With this recipe you will get that perfection every single time!

WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS
You don't have to cook the chicken separately before layering it with the rice.
Reliable and easy rice cooking technique for perfectly fluffy rice.
Indian rice and chicken dish in a round plate.
See the buzz about this Chicken Biryani.

INGREDIENT NOTES
basmati rice, chicken, yogurt, spices, cilantro, mint, saffron, ginger, garlic, lemon juice, chili peppers, fried onions, oil/ghee

Basmati Rice: Use the highest quality aged long grain basmati rice from a popular brand. Ask your local Indian grocer for the best variety in any brand, which is typically the most expensive.
Chicken with bone: It is best to use whole chicken, with bone, cut and clean. Chicken leg quarters or thighs will work too. Avoid chicken breast as it will be too dry. For boneless option, use chicken thigh meat.
Yogurt: A key ingredient, this should neither be too thick nor too runny. For a dairy-free option, try coconut yogurt.
Spices:
You will need whole spices and ground spices. They are available at Indian grocery stores for a good price or online.
Whole spices can be wrapped in muslin cloth or a metal mesh cooking infuser.
A bulk biryani masala recipe is below. For a store-bought option, try Shaan Sindhi biryani masala, but adjust the salt and chili powder in the recipe.
Herbs: Use fresh herbs when you can. Frozen cilantro and dried mint can also work for the marinade.
Ginger and Garlic: Use fresh for a world of difference.
Saffron: Choose best quality saffron. For more on that, check the post on Saffron Tea.
Onions: Slice the onions very thin. I use my mandolin slicer. Sprinkle some flour on the onions before frying, to make them fry quicker and crisper. For gluten-free, try corn starch or rice flour plus corn starch.
Ghee: A drizzle of ghee on the top will take it to the next level
