Are guns dangerous?

When a world champion accidentally shoots and kills himself, you’ve got to wonder if they’re really as safe as people say:

“World junior shooting champion, 19, dies after accidentally shooting himself in the stomach when bending over to pick up spent cartridges while hunting in Italy
Cristian Ghilli shot himself in a hunting accident near Pisa and died at around 10pm yesterday in a hospital at Cecina in Tuscany
The world junior skeet (clay pigeon shooting) champion was given an emergency operation to try and stop the internal bleeding but he died”

What if a F1 drivers dies in a car accident... are you going to ask is cars are safe?

What if an Airline Pilot dies in a crash while flying a cessna 152... are you going to ask if planes are safe?

THEY ARE SAFE IF YOU USE THEM PROPERLY.

Of course they're dangerous. What kind of question is that?

Not 100% sure if you're trying to turn this into a 2A debate, but that has never been the argument.

Guns shoot a metal projectile at extremely high velocities via a controlled explosion - yeah I'd say they're dangerous. The argument is whether libtards can comprehend that a murderer doesn't magically spring up simply by virtue of having a deadly weapon at their disposal. Furthermore, not a single piece of legislation introduced in response to a mass shooting has ever contained a restriction that would have prevented the shooting that prompted its proposal in the first place.

Almost everything in the world is dangerous. If I press my ryobi corded drill against my stomach and accidentally press the button while bending over to pick up something I bet I'd get some wicked internal injuries too.

Ban drills.

So, professional drivers have died in their personal cars in normal traffic. That mean I'm a better driver, we should cancel cars, or just that sh*t happens?

What the fuk does that have to do with anything? He's a world champion because he is good at aiming. He's clearly not a world champion in firearm safety chief.

Yes guns are very dangerous, deadly even.

They are made with one purpose: to kill living organisms/

That said, they are relatively safe if used by someone that isn't a complete potato

Humans are dangerous srs. We're a tribal, war-loving species. It's in our DNA to off each other.

Why do you think firearms were invented? For fun? It's the perfect tool to annihilate as much life as possible.

You can't use this to support an argument for anything.

I could be driving my Buick and accidentally swerve into a house and accidentally kill myself in the collision.
