My aunt was killed last year they never found who did it though

Didn't really know her but a couple years ago somebody broke into my neighbors house and shot her in the head during a robbery. Good part of town, wealthy family, wife of a heart surgeon. Sad chit, and people wonder why I sleep with an AR within reach of my nightstand.

I don't know any victims but one of my friends in college, his freshman year roommate was weird and we all thought that he would end up killing someone, sure enough, convicted of murder a few years later. I stayed away from him so i don't really have clear memories but I believe the murder was super random and the cops basically said he would have become a serial killer if he hadn't been caught.

I was told as a kid my great-grandma murdered my great-grandpa. We always thought it was a joke or something since we never knew how or why.

I was doing some family history research when I came across an old newspaper clipping an old extended family member uploaded on Ancestry. Damned if it wasn’t true! The article from early 1940’s read that she was acquitted of murdering her husband. Apparently he “fell” on a butcher knife during an argument when he was abusing her. He was a butcher by trade.

When I showed my dad, he was also shocked it was true. He said he remembers my grandpa mentioning one time he overheard someone asking her one time if she knew that her husband was locked up in jail for bootlegging, and she replied with “well at least I know where the son of a bitch is”.
I guess he was a bootlegger during prohibition and got into trouble often haha.

I went to high school with Yelena who was one of the victims of the above killing spree. Had the same group of friends and hung out a few times. I used to work at a gym that was on her corner. I was actually working while she was stabbed to death right up the block. We had to lock up the gym with everyone inside because the killer was on the loose.

Neighbor's dad was beaten to death with a baseball bat during a home robbery.

Childhood friend shot in Florida.

Dude I knew in high school's stepdad shot him the head cause the stepdad though he was banging his own mom. Bizarre

another guy I knew got murdered during a robbery and friend of mine was shot in the chest but didn't die during the same robbery.

My cousin was murdered in 2002. He got stabbed in an altercation and died from the wound. I don't know what they were fighting about.

I didn't really know him, I only met him one time before it happened and was too young to even remember.

One of my school friends was living on the same street when it happened and I asked him about it and he said he heard some of it go down.

There was a kid in some of my college classes who was super smart but had some mental problems. We thought he would be the next school shooter. Ended up making friends with these ghetto people but they were playing him because they saw his nice car. They actually shot him in the head and stole the car then of course got caught and went to jail. Pretty crazy when i think about it and we always thought he was going to be the one being shooter.

a guy in my school had some heart issue during a football game and he died... pretty crazy. another person from highschool got killed in a shoot out and my bro's friend husband got killed right after having his second kid at a bbq, people think it was a set up, killer hasn't been found

Sorry to hear about your aunt brah. May justice find its way to your family.

I knew a few people growing up who were murdered. No close friends, but dudes from the neighborhood I would hang with. One of them got gunned down during my freshman year in high school. Wrong place, wrong time. Sad chit. Another guy I was cool with growing up ended up moving to Youngstown, OH after high school. Anyone who knows that city knows nothing good happens there. He was shot and killed a few months after the move.

Knew plenty of other friends who passed but most were ODs.

It's crazy to see how life really does just keep chugging right along as if it doesn't matter they ever existed.

A few years ago I heard 4-5 gunshots fired and then a bunch of sirens. Turned out 2 drunk guys down the street managed to kill each other with 1 gun. Guy shot the dude in the stomach and set the gun down. The injured guy crawled to the gun and pumped a few slugs into the shooter and killed him. The guy shot first died shortly after killing the other guy. They were both hammered.

Kid at college who kind of ran in the same circles. He was walking home from a party one night alone and some guy bludgeoned him to death. The guy had killed a cyclist in a hit and run 2 years earlier but was somehow not in jail for it yet. I actually just looked at an article from 6 months ago and his verdict was overturned in court for the killing (murder happened in 2014). Crazy that I just saw that, feel bad for the family.

when i was in 9th (high school) grade a dude i went to 8th grade with (middle school) was shot and killed in his own home/bed. the story was that he had beef and they broke into his crib and killed him in his sleep. I tried looking it up like 4 months ago to find out who did it but couldn't find anything.

i know a few ppl who i went to school with who died while we were kids but he's the only one i know who got killed.


edit - post below me just reminded me of a girl i knew who was shot and killed at a h.s cut party. the guy was playing with a gun.


funny thing is that guy was at a h.s cut party at my house the week before pointing a fake fun at my head pretending to shoot me the week before. these were my older siblings friends. Cant believe i forgot how i could have easily been killed at the age of 11 like that.
