Stage 1 means that the government's Restriction Exemption Program is ending tonight at midnight, although entertainment venues will still face restrictions around closing hours, movement, masking, etc.

Stage 2 might start next Monday, and would mean mask requirements for children end both in schools and in public.

Then the government plans to "pause" for three weeks and wait to see what happens.

If things go "well", we would move on to Stage 3.

Stage 3 means that other restrictions like capacity limits, gathering restrictions, indoor masking, and remaining limits on entertainment venues would be removed.

Finally, at a "date to be determined", remaining restrictions like at continuing care venues and isolation requirements would be removed.

Unfortunately, we've seen all this before.

This is exactly what they are doing in Ontario. Three stage reopening plan. Although they don't involve changing mask requirements or passports - yet. I'm quite sure when Doug Ford comes out of his hidey hole (if he ever does) he will start to talk about it.

He has an election in less than four months. They will get rid of vaccine passports and mandates before then, guaranteed. Like I've said before, I'm expecting mid March.

Yes, that was "Phase 1", most venues can reopen at 50% capacity. Never should have been closed in the first place, otherwise what was the point of the vax pass?

I'm against the mandates and restrictions but I work with a lady who was hospitalized with covid and she's been off work for 4 weeks already. Not sure if she was vaxxed or not. It's definitely a weird virus how it seems to affect some people way worse than others.

Of all the deaths, 96% had at least one pre-existing condition. Average age of death is 78 years.

What are we freaking out over? Everyone dies eventually, if I make it to 78 I'd consider myself blessed.
