What's the point in restricting access to the misc when you let all the trolls stay? It just means no chance of good new posters, less traffic and the same old obvious trolls.

I should have read this before I began to post again recently. This answers a lot of the questions I would have asked if I didn't assume you all still play mind games with your users all day.

No. People have always been able to join by emailing admins and stating that they had been on misc before.

If you go to the forums on incognito mode, you'll see misc is still unlisted.
