Girls are the ones that are expected to chase after the guys and guys are absolutely cucked and feminine to the point where girls are also expected to be the ones to initiate any sort of physical contact.
The gender roles there are completely flipped and this is unnatural from an evolutionary point of view. In addition to this SK has the same issues with feminization of society, disenfranchisement of males, rise of social media and dating apps that is being faced globally.
On top of all this they still maintain some traditional values - e.g. shunning girls for slooting and other traditional conservative values
It stands to reason that fewer females would be interested in
1. Hooking up with low value feminized incels that have no masculine traits.
2. Putting in the effort to pursue these types of men and having to initiate all physical contact which is coupled with the fact that they will be publicly shamed for slooting around
Resulting in a lower rate of sex for female pop as well as the males

I've been studying Korean in my free my time and came across a lot of this incel stuff recently. Basically there was this nutty feminist group called Megalia 5 years ago & they were so crazy even the liberal President Moon had to shut their online forums down after mass backlash. However now they have these supreme gentleman losers on the other side of the coin who are driving non feminist women to off themselves by just accusing them of being part of feminist groups & doxing them and other crazy ****. It is sad for the majority of people in Korean society who are in the middle of these groups fighting and end up doxed and committing suicide over this clown show.

And it isn't exclusive to digital entertainment, if I'm having a rough week at work (60+ hours) or studying for a certification, or when I was getting my MBA, you just have less time to be interested in anything else and are more stressed in general.
