canadian gubmint now freezing/blacklisting crypto wallets of "truckers"

The authorities in Canada have told cryptocurrency exchanges to cease transactions with addresses they said were linked to the ongoing ‘Freedom Convoy’ by the anti-vaccine mandate truckers.
The order from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) began circulating on social media early on Wednesday, with the local media saying that its authenticity has been confirmed. Several major Canadian crypto exchanges also acknowledged receiving the relevant guidance and the list from law enforcement.
A total of 34 electronic wallets have been blacklisted, including 29 Bitcoin addresses, and several addresses in other crypto currencies like Ethereum, Litecoin, and others.
The order reportedly stated that “any information about a transaction or proposed transaction in respect of these address(es), is to be disclosed immediately to the Commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.”
The protestors turned to cryptocurrencies after mainstream crowdfunding platform GoFundMe blocked them earlier in February, and the Canadian government froze $8 million gathered online to continue rallying.
The demonstrations started in Canada in late January in protest against Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s demand for unvaccinated truckers to quarantine after coming back to Canada from the US.
They escalated quickly, leading to roads and border crossings being blocked across Canada, including in the capital, Ottawa. The demands of the demonstrators also broadened as they began calling for the lifting of all other Covid-19 curbs and Trudeau’s resignation.

Thats the future play of the left, using the entirety of the financial industry to keep those in line and punish those who question State propaganda.
What are you going to do when you're unable to access your finances/phone/internet(your cars when they are fully automated) and every State/local politician got elected running on that platform??
Answer: Complete capitulation.
If you dont believe me, have a trial run where you pretend you are unable to access all of those things unless you apologize to the State and agree to pay a fine......see how long your wife/kids let you hold out.

How is it illegal to give money to peaceful protestors but it was perfectly okay to have massive $50 million-$100 million fundraisers for BLM/Antifa which rioted and burned down cities for a year?
No one was freezing and seizing their money in that instance

Unfortunately this is why I only donate my time or money physically. As much as I want to send money over there, there's just too many ways for it to be blocked or intercepted.

Freedom of speech is a principle pillar of a free government; when this support is taken away, the constitution of a free society is dissolved and tyranny is erected on its ruins.

There's only one REAL way to defeat tyrants
You'll never defeat tyrants by trying to operate and comply within corrupt institutions that they control. You'll never defeat them through elections, peaceful protests, lawsuits, etc.
Thomas Jefferson and the Founding Fathers of the United States understood this
In this case in Canada, we saw a peaceful movement that would have eventually worked, but then the tyrant's jackboot came down hard with arrests, freezing bank accounts, seizing money, etc.

Cold storage means your seed phrase is stored entirely offline creating an air gap from the internet. Literally nothing else.
And yes, decentralized exchanges currently can't convert crypto to fiat currency. But what's to stop me from sending my crypto to a friend to exchange for me? Or just create another wallet and transfer it there and then exchange? You can "blacklist" my wallet from exchanges all you fukin want, doesn't mean I can't create 10 new wallets that aren't blacklisted and transfer crypto around all day long. That's why I'm not a fan of using centralized exchange wallets. Those can be frozen with government pressure, but decentralized ones can't.

This is the main reason I’m strongly against all currency being digitized. At any point they can freeze it and it can be due to literally anything.
We live in a time where Burn Loot Murder and Antifa are not only left to do as they please but SUPPORTED by the left wing administrations and big businesses.
Everywhere they went destruction followed and yet an actual peaceful group of protesters are being treated as terrorist all because they want a choice of what goes into their bodies. It’s fukkin infuriating.

Crypto is a store of value that is not subject to inflation. Only poor low iq noncoincels like you wouldn't understand. You probably bet against the internet too in the late 90's.

But I thought privacy and low transaction costs were the reason to use crypto"currency"?
Transfer it around all you want, it's traceable and no different for the feds than when you transfer money to 843 different bank accounts owned by random people to try and hide it.
