Decent amount of best of both worlds...can still have and use guns, no risk of being shot at
Hunting isn't a thing over here-only among the upper classes who hunt foxes with dogs, although it is banned since 2004. The UK public are overwhelmingly against hunting.

Wrong. You can carry one up to 3 inches long with a non-locking blade, don't need a reason.

I have one of these that I carry sometimes.

The vast majority of people in the UK (I would hazard a guess at 99.9%), myself included, have never seen a real firearm and probably never will.
Again wrong, we can own firearms we just need a license. Getting a shotgun is relatively easy. We're not allowed auto/semi-auto rifles or pistols.

Yes I know this, but very few people have a shotgun licence. I kept it simple because I didn't want to imply that swathes of people are walking around with shotguns.

As far as I know this isn't true. You have to be 18 or older to purchase air soft guns, and they must be concealed during transportation. Running around with one in the street is likely to result in you getting shot by the police.

I know multiple people with one. My brother is getting a license atm, I will once I buy a house. Don't want to bolt a safe to the wall in a rental. They're not uncommon in the countryside.

Around half a million people are certified to carry firearms and/or shotguns, out of a population of approx 67 million. So yeah half a million is a lot, but it's less than 1% of the population. I know it's common for farmers to have them.

You can but if you defend yourself with it you will go to prison and your wife will be forced to service your victim.

Sometimes I can understand farmers wanting them for more than just shooting foxes. Some farmhouses are in desolate areas with commercial vehicles and machinery which are more prone to burglary and theft, with the police miles away and no neighbours to call on for help.

Weapons may come in useful, plus they're cool and fun to play with. I have a lot of knives at home, a throwing axe and a couple of airguns. When the urban cucks get nuked by Putin guys like me will own the post-apocalyptic wasteland (semi-srs). Need to get a shotgun soon. Don't see why you wouldn't want one tbh, what's the downside?

There are many reasons why guns are relevant in the USA but not so relevant in the UK. As much as I prefer guns to be banned here and feel safer as a result, I respect your right to bear arms. It's pretty much the same with knives, I dare say there are exceptions for carrying big knives here if it's part of your job.

I guess it's down to being a tiny island and having less land. I seem to recall some roads in the USA, the house numbers go up into the thousands? The average street here doesn't go much above 100 lol
Almost all the shootings in the US are committed with illegal firearms.

Also, if you compare just the White population, the US is actually far safer than most European countries and the UK

For this reason I have a collection of souped up Nerf guns. The advantage is I can shoot the wife and kids and not go to jail for it.

That's like saying you're safer from sunburn in Egypt as long as you stay indoors.

And the fact remains there are barely any shootings in the UK because there are barely any firearms here, legal or illegal.

Nobody thinks that. But from our point of view it seems as though Americans think every criminal in the UK is carrying a firearm, and the general population is forced against their will to not be able to do the same. In actual fact both of these things are untrue.

London is for sure the cesspit of the UK (in my opinion). Although I am somewhat biased as I don't live there.
