Never understood the appeal to these games, from what I've seen

Average graphics, dogchit PC performance, sporadic lore but no coherant or deep story and no innovation which other devs get ripped for. Dunno how it gets the reviews it gets.

Somehow this game gets a pass or praise for doing all the chit other devs do and get chit on for. It's just fanboy chit brah.

If any other studio released a game that looked this ****ty in 2022 they'd be ripping on it. Same thing with story, etc. This game is so god damn mediocre it's not even funny, but fanboys are carrying it hard AF.

I honestly think that nerds get some sense of pride from playing Souls games because they're known to be "harder" than most other games, so you can kinda look down your nose at others and be like "haha yeah bro I beat Dark Souls, I'm frickin hardcore bro".

You not liking it doesn't make it stupid. The crazy amounts of praise it's been getting across the board can't just be some fanboy cult conspiracy bruh. these are all open world fantasy RPGs. If they need to be specificly more
alike for someone to like it then they're an ass hole. That's really my point. If you like botw but not tw3 then youre a closet furry who comes himself to horse insemination tutorials. Same with this.

really scratches an original fantasy horror action rpg itch for example:

For matrity level:
Botw->skyrim->tw3->elden ring

This game just takes everything another level. However AI is bipolar. It either can't see or hear you ten feet away or you can't fukking escape.

I disliked this game at first but after 25 hours I'm still in east liurnia and having a blast. should've been more patient when liurnia opened up and the whole world became bigger and more cool/unexpected. fuark.

only gripe i have is the side quests are so fking impossible to know what to do unless you use a guide, wish it had some mini quest guide menu but ofc this is a from game. the fact that it's open world makes em easier and easier to skip/miss whereas in older fs games it was hard to miss the next npc for the side quest cause the levels were so linear

Gamers have complained that everything nowadays is too easy and handholding. Well, you got what you asked for here.

I never know wtf I'm doing. I don't even know where the key is to get into Raya lucaria I had to look it up, i spent so much time just doing chit in the wrong direction.

ER is great... close to god tier level... like I believe I've said before, got almost the same nostalgia and awe similar to experiencing OoT for the first time, not even witcha 3, god of war or horizon gave me them feels.

Can understand if people dont like this type of game with its difficulty curve, but to say that it's an outright bad game is retarded and disingenuous given the accolades both critically and commercially.

Duuuuude I know what you mean, but the problem with souls games is that you actually EXPERIENCE the plot through the gameplay and its a looooong game. I am not being facetious. I am just contrasting how this game differs from the complete bullchit AAA companies have been putting out. Remember fo76 when you learned about the plot through holotapes lmao. You didn't actually get to do any of the cool chit, you just read about it and bethesda got to pretend they made a great game. Not the deal here.

Anyways, I don't care who plays or doesn't. I'm just happy we're not stuck with dying light 2.
