I'm sorry I'm usually pro cop but how can anyone justify this? Seriously, grown men can't disarm a 100 pound woman?

Person had a machete, clean shoot right there, they gave it more effort than needed to stop them, cop even looked like he went in with a baton at the beginning which is ballsy and dangerous. Deadly force met with deadly force.

I don't see the obsession with trying to save the life of dangerous criminals.

Someone with a machete is charging officers trying to harm them, but the goal is to save their life?

The line is crossed when someone A) Starts charging/swinging the knife B) Aims a firearm/starts shooting.

Yeah sure you would be able to argue that someone standing idly with a gun/knife in their hand could be pleaded with, but once the line is crossed the argument is outta the window. In the states we dont have 30 cops available to show up with riot shields to disarm someone.

I mean at that stage yeah I can see why they shot but we canโ€™t just ignore everything preceding that moment. A mentally unstable woman is dead and it was totally avoidable.

Good, she is either insane or a total idiot & apparently was stabbing officers. The only reason they were involved was because she had threatened to kill people the day before. The difference with the UK video is they are in a huge open space where they can retreat & move around, not a small space like an apartment they have never been in before.

This is the crazy part. I mean if we look at just the moment of the shooting, then sure fine, she came at the officers with a knife. But why was it ever escalated to them breaking into her apartment? You served her papers, just walk away after that. Instead you order a team of officers to bust into her place because she answered the door with a knife but didn't make any attempt on your life?

Assuming the eviction order, her threats the day prior & concerns about her behaviour with the cop who served her meant they had right of entry. Who else is going to get her out if she is waving weapons round & making threats to kill?

I'm assuming she was given the notice to vacate in the video, which in california is a 30 day period. it's possible it was the eviction team and she had already been served the 30 day notice beforehand, which would explain the forced entry.
