But what doesn't add up is that we're not using anything new. If course zelensky is a western puppet and would cry to daddy immediately.
This whole time I'm just waiting for the catch. I'm confident and sure of a Russian victory of some capacity but I don't think Putin is dumb enough to fall into a yes man trap.

Russia was aware they didn't have air control but they did nothing to remedy the situation and threw chitty troops at it? That doesn't add up.
Their inability to anticipate drone use is a huge red flag. It's like Russia has absolutely not fukking idea what modern warfare is. They stepped straight out of the year 2000.

Yes, no answer on why Russia hasn't stampeded Donbass in its entirety. 200,000 soldiers were on the frontline almost a month ago.

A) Russia knew they had to take cities 1 by 1
B) Russia knew that Ukraine was entangled with America and that they were going to face a proxy war
C) They also commited to doing as less damage as possible to civilians.
How couldnt they forsee that they would be facing urban militias based just on this 3 facts

U.S. Defense Secretary U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin: No signs of Russian assault on Odesa or other coastal cities in the "near term."
Russian troops continue to suffer heavy losses. Some marine units from temporarily occupied Crimea have lost up to 90 percent of their personnel, and there are no reserves to recover.

Looks like Ukrainians encircling the Russians near Kiev?

They tried two waves of it on Kiev, and they were killed within hours.

Here's something I'm pretty sure the US is helping with: UKR said they intercepted open Russian communications, allowing them to kill a Russian general. I think what actually happened is that the US is monitoring and decrypting Russian military channels and giving data to UKR, where possible in real time. The cover story benefits UKR because Putin is currently arresting officials and having them imprisoned for using insecure communications.

We'll see if Russia gets their asses handed to them. In open warfare the odds do no favor Ukraine.
This is by design and Russian efforts to close the eastern side of Ukraine hinges on this area.
