Have you ever been arrested?

“The number of Americans with a criminal history has risen sharply over the past three decades. Today, nearly one-third of the adult working age population has a criminal record. In fact, so many Americans have a criminal record that counting them all is nearly impossible.”

If so share your story

Yup when in Junior High. I was partying with the brahs right off a popular street in the city and we were hollering etc at girls walking by. Cops rolled in, pretty sure called by someone from the apartment next door, and we had booze on us. I was thrown in the back of the police car, cuffed iirc, and was actually charged with possession of alcohol in a public place.

It was eventually quashed though with no intervention from me, so never needed to pay a fine or anything else and nothing went on my record

Meh. Cops picked me up on breaking and entering (didn’t steal) and vandalism as a teen with some friends. Don’t count them as attests.

Actually, no. One time I came close.

I was chitfaced AF after a night out, broke my seal, and couldn't stop pissing. I was pissing against a wall and two cops came up to me and told me urinating in public was at least a fineable offence, $300. I didn't even think to respond and just booked it, didn't even bother putting my dick back in my pants, with piss flying everywhere. Amazed I could escape two cops whilst that drunk.
Back off, Warchild.

Seriously.

In the USA you could go to jail with anything cause prison is a business and they want to put you in there so that the owners can make money off you.

Yeah more than 10 times. All related to drunk behavior. Would get fukked up and fight people and stupid chit like that. Couple dui charges, couple fighting charges, a few disorderly conducts, riotous conduct, public intox, disturbing the peace... Quit drinking and never went back to jail.

Worse was when I resisted and got cuffed and straight jacketed and had to ride to jail in a patty wagon. Basically an armored van

Fuk thought I was gonna win this thread, guess not.

I was "placed in custody" (handcuffed) 7 times before I turned 18.

I wasn't a fighter but a thief. If it wasn't bolted down I could steal it, if it was bolted down I could steal bolt cutters. I embarrassed a lot of security people.

At Sears at the mall they used to have a stack of toolsets near the rear exit that were like $119.00 each, they had maybe 2-3 people working and black and white cameras from the 50's.

I would walk in, grab 3 or 4 sets and be in bed before they knew they were missing.

Got a thousand stories like that. Miss the rush when I see a stupid setup like that, and I see them all the time still.
Don't put that on me Ricky Bobby, don't you ever put that on me.

What made you resort to thieving? Why’d you keep doing it after being caught?

When I was 18.

Friends and I were leaving bowling alley, pulled over by cops, car searched etc.

They found pot in the car, nobody confessed so they took us all in.

I had just moved to the area, didn't remember new phone number so I called my aunt and uncle who called my parents.

I was about to get locked up over some BS if parents didn't get me because it was Friday and I guess police station holding cell is closed on weekends?

Was charged with "visiting a common nuisance" SMH.

Months later at family BBQ cousins and uncles (who are cops) roasted me about the charge because they never even heard of it and said I should have told officer "couldn't you at least hit me with a jaywalking?"

^^^Racist police officer who also cries about how racism doesn't exist, also cries reverse racism and typifies the stupidity of the racist right, referring to black people as "they" and regurgitating racist stereotypes.

I was poor but it was the thrill. I was never convicted of stealing. I stole big ticket stuff for people and just odd stuff.

This one Italian guy used "Wilson 308DT" golf balls and kept slicing/hooking them into the woods so I would steal a couple dozen a week for him. At one point the cops showed up at the golf course asking who played 308DT's, that was the end of that hustle.

There was a big box store that had a laway section in the back, you would get your item and walk it out the front door with a big tag and receipt on it and not get get bothered.

Well as it turns out you could stick that big tag and receipt on any box in the store and walk out the front door. It was like a hit of meth for me walking out with that receipt that I used 9 times before, what a rush.

They're not even allowed to chase you anymore. I stole a ski jacket for a client and got caught, the store employee chased me like a 1/4 mile even after I dropped the jacket, I was 300 yards from quitting when he gave up. The guy was faster than me but I was running on adrenaline.

I went back in the mall and got a haircut, no one sits at fastcuts after that ordeal, except me, lol. Perfect cover.

I stole for my friends for 50%. scouted every camera on 2 big stores. Used to take 2 items at a time, then go to ”try clothes” and return the hidden duplicate so the camera sees you bringing **** back.

If you take phones they get too suspicious. What i did was walk to the store carrying a hoodie/jacket. Take a basket and the phone with the alarm and ****, it didnt matter srs. Then put my jacket to the basket while im looking around. Go to the check out and put my jacket to my gym bag with the phone box wrapped inside it. If theres steve looking hes going to forget about your ass when you get to the check out. Thats why you save it for last

College roomate worked at a shoe store, we would go in and try on shoes. The right pair he would throw in the dumpster and we we would go in and get them after dark.

Videogames in laundromats or anywhere away from prying eyes were easy, heavy screwdriver on the bottom door, $75 in coins. You actually had to plan that out, bring a heavy bag. I once jogged like 2 miles with a metal box holding probably 30lbs of coins.

I should write a book.

Haven't even started on the guns.

For the ski jacket the guy just picked it out and I stole it, not advisable. Unless you do it 5 days later. Quick in and out is your goal.
