those are all symptoms, not causes

here we go again blaming anything fun

Everyone I've ever met who "lost it all" due to drugs were already headed south. They were just using drugs to deal, which they wouldn't otherwise do if everything was okay. And a LOT of people are losing hope now.

Problem with drugs, is that they lock you into that mindset of hopelessness, but they certainly don't cause that initially.

Problem is much deeper, even little boys aren't doing as good as they used to be. Something about modern society is not healthy for boys.

The marriage one is correct. Men don't feel any need to work and contribute if they aren't going to get anything out of it. Our sick society doesn't make it easy for every taxpaying or military man to get an obedient virgin wife, which is gonna lead to issues.

Every generation of males in the 1st world is lying flat. This is a global issue... there fewer jobs worth doing and more people available to do them, so the workforce everywhere is getting squeezed for diminishing returns.

BRB need to get accepted to an elite university just to get a job, then even if you get that job you'll struggle to afford a house, then you need to convince some don't need no man feminist that she should start a family with you in your 1br rot pad... like fuk it. Why even work for all that.

It's just supply and demand. If the neoliberal globohomo masters really needed our labor, they'd pay up for it. They don't, and the standard of living in the 1st world is backsliding by the day.

I've pointed this out about the homeless population before. Sure, some people that are homeless are living that way by choice, or because they are addicted to alcohol or drugs.

Plenty of other homeless people suffered some sort of major setback or trauma and didn't start using [if ever] until they were already living on the street as a way to cope with being homeless.

I was in college pursuing a STEM M.S. and had a cute girlfriend so I just took bong rips and played video games the whole time.

Did the bare minimum to get straight As and lifted weights a few times a week.

brb getting to highest rank on CS:GO with the boys
brb me and all of my friends had GFs or wives the whole time, not one of us single or lonely
brb guys got to take care of business, smash needy GF to sleep, game some more while loling with the boys
brb trying to one up each other trolling dumb GFs with our mics keyed up
brb harassing other players and generally being a massive prick for lols with the boys
brb competitive CS:GO or PUBG or whatever with 5 friends when your sexual needs are already taken care of is infinitely more fun than going out
brb there is no point in going out if you already have an eager to please girlfriend

Can attest to the homeless that if they weren’t using before becoming homeless they certainly will/are using while homeless. I got lucky I was young when I was homeless and only drank occasionally while homeless 16-19 on and off.
