I’m thinking about taking profits on my covered calls and cash secure puts and selling new ones with super low delta tomorrow before the guy speaks, just in case. Got AAPL $144 csp expiring Friday, AMD $94 all deep green, should take money and run…?
Any other option plays to consider for tomorrow morning?

Started the week off strong, and fukked the rest of it up just prior to jpow lol. Basically closed some stuff out monday, opened more early wednesday, and got raped from there on out. Had to roll chit out, and in my IRA I am letting 2 positions get called away, (ABNB will be break even, but PLTR is a big hair cut but sick of the opportunity cost)
Closed out
TSLA 890cc at 90% gain
LULU 312cc at 20% gain
TSLA 700csp (opened at the bottom of the week)
Realized gains for the week $2100
Closed out
TSLA 890cc at 90% gain
LULU 312cc at 20% gain

Is this normal? I had a cash secure put expiring today on HCI at $65 strike price, it expired when the stock was still like $70, and yet the put never went down in price and it’s still showing that I captured only 30% of the profit,
I looked and some jackass was still selling like 12 of them for $50 each. Wtf? Delta shows zero. So I never bought it back to close.
If bitcoin will behave I was thinking of some csp on Michael sailor Monday? They had nice premiums.

Underestimated BABA’s rise on Friday, I assume my 100 BABA shares gonna be called away at $106 strike price that expired Friday. Will take about $350 profit. Quick daytrade so it’s ok. Who knew this thing will pump another few dollars after that 35% rise in one day. I thought for sure we going back down or trade flat.

welp, monster week as far as realized gains, but taking a beating on some short calls. Just looking at opportunity cost at the moment, and hopefully won't have to roll out to ridiculous dates, but only time will tell.
Last Friday I opened up a TSLA $900csp @ $46, and closed at $2.5
Monday I opened up TSLA $925csp @ $20, and closed at $5
Closed my LULU 4/8 $300c for a 20% gain. Really wanted to ride through earnings, but I made money through PMCC's and then hit profit on the long leg itself, so just taking that and running.
Total realized gains for the week $6250
I don't reckon I'll be in a position to do much until late April (IRA account doesn't count lol), but I've already achieved my monthly goal for March, April, and half of May, so just need to chill and be bored out of my fukking mind...

I was thinking, for PMCC isn’t it reasonable to just sell the calls at break even price of the long leap? This way you got no chance of losing money if you get assigned?
Selling CSP for a couple weeks now trying to get shares of paypal and BABA under $100, probably missed that boat for good.. but I’ll take 1% gain per week while I wait.
Fooking Crisper, chart looked amazing, every indicator looked amazing, reasonable foundamentals, I grabbed 100 shares and the fooking thing starts going down, LOL, selling weekly CCs on it, long term HODL, no fooks given.
Premium for last week 2k total on selling CCs and CSPs. If I wasn’t a **** and grabbed BABA at $70 would have 30k profit by now. What a pussay.

TSLA stock split news is a mixed blessing. Timing couldn't come at a worse time. Long term it will be good for stock price. But as before with last split and 2021 Q3 numbers, this is to soon to fast imo. Coming from double bottom I think it needs to consolidate at 900 before it can have stable steady price action. As it is I can see it hits 1150 before coming back down to the 950 levels or even 900. Therefore I'm not taking any losses on my cc and rolled to Apr01 at the same strikes with a marginal net premium.
NVDA and PLTR same.
SPY overall I have concerns about. Bond yields are pointing to recession so if I can get out of this alive I will continue to play cautious with the possible exception of GOOG CSP when I get the funds.

Do you just execute a market order and hope that you get a good price? As far as I know there's no way to determine option price within the first minutes of open so you'd be setting yourself up for failure if you did a limit order
I have a saying I try to trade by:
Always leave money on the table.
That is, don't try to get every last dollar because sooner than later you will find you've missed the gain entirely. Having an idea on resistance and support would be helpful. So if the price is approaching a key level, including even numbers, ie 1.00, 1.50, 2.00, etc. then that's where I would set my btc. But trying to set a limit order even on that is kind of tricky because you don't know for sure what the price is going to be at those marks, not to mention the spread.

For most day to day positions, I'm usually only planning on 50% of max profit and set standing close orders at those levels. I feel it's much better to pocket some profit and move on to the next trade than try and milk one for all it's worth. Sure, your wins will be smaller than they could be, but you should be able to make them more frequently, offsetting money you're leaving on the table.

Been selling csp on zim, solid fundamentals and premiums. Getting aggressive with delta now, kinda want to own this one, to hodl and sell covered calls.
Considering Mstr csp, but gotta see wtf crypto is doing tonight. They say sailor and that doh Quan guy are gonna buy millions of dollars again.

Still rolling TSLA, NVDA and PLTR. Covered calls expiring Apr08.
Net for week ending Apr01 just under 2050.
At this rate I'll just roll to infinity or sell a leap to get even. For now not worried as I'm long term on all these. Recession looming in the background. April on record as a positive month though I'm bearish overall hence my willingness to roll.

NVDA took a nosedive right out of left field. Not sure really what's going on. As always, a parabolic rise is followed by a parabolic crash. We've seen quite a few Fibonacci re-tracements down to 60% through the the year so far. I would expect most fast risers over the last little while to encounter the same.
Closed my NVDA cc at. 04. Finally out of that one. Was worried it would shoot up to 240 when I closed it around 235ish. Rode that from 220 all the way up to 289 and back down rolling 237.50cc and still made money. Got lucky but was expecting it to come down, just didn't think it would go that high. This is a long term hold so I wouldn't have sold regardless of what it peaked at so in the end covered calls made me some money.
Still rolling tsla 860cc and pltr 11.50cc.
Had one Tsla 945csp this week.
Total net for week 2280.

Have a 200-300 strangle on in NVDA. That's been a ride, but as long as it chills in this range it's been in I should pocket a nice chunk of change from it.

If the buyer exercised the put then either he's expecting price to go down further or is unaware of the extrinsic value of the contract. Other possibility is spread is so huge that he can't realize the extrinsic value. There's other possibilities of course. I usually don't worry about being exercised because of the above.

Took last week to try out one of those 0 DTE SPX iron condor strategies. Opening on /ES mainly for lower BPR, targeting 0.5% NLV max risk/day.
Parameters:
Opening a variable Delta from 5-20 based on some momentum indicators on SPX and the VIX
25 Delta spread
Stop loss for 200% credit received
I way overshot my BPR target on Monday, managing to risk 5% NLV, but over the course of the week had no losses on these trades. Going to be switching SPX over /ES for lower commissions and so my brokerage won't liquidate my position 15 minutes prior to close for pin risk (can't same I'm upset about it though as I still profited). This will be enjoyable next week when there are Tuesday expirations on SPX.
