This.
younger = more physical energy
older = maybe more money/free time
I knew a guy who was 60-ish when I was a teen who preached that having babies very young was the best because "you grow up together" and have the physical stamina to really play with your kids. And maybe you will still be kinda young [40's] when you have grandchildren.
The math checks out too. Have a couple of babies before you are 24, your kids are grown adults maybe with their own families before you turn 50. And if your parents had children sort of young then they get to meet and know their great grandkids which is pretty cool.
Babies in your 30's is okay, but can be tough too. Probably your work life is going flat out and then when your children are in their teens/early 20's you can also be hit with your own physical health beginning to decline [energy, aches & pains, chronic stuff]while also trying to take care of your parents and any big physical/financial problems hitting them. On that sandwich time with big demands from your children and your parents at the same time.
Being an older parent might work out if your money and health are in a good place and your parents have passed, or are at least in a stable situation. You may have more patience and appreciate your children more [like many people appreciate their grandkids], but you are likely to have less time with them and also unlikely to have a real relationship with any grandkids.

He's not totally wrong about having kids being cope. It's true for about 85% of the population.
Most people feel if they don't get married by 30 they're doomed, so they marry any warm body they can find. Then they realize if they don't have kids they're going to be to old. So they have 2-3 kids with any warm body they can find.
Fuarkkiing always lelling about this, i see it every day.

BRB OP works at Starbucks making $15 an hour
BRB OP seethes in anger every time he sees a happy family come in together and laugh and play as they get some refreshments on their way to another family activity
BRB OP looks like an old, nerdy gamer and is bitter that the he has never been able to get prime women at any time in his life
BRB OP has $547 in total savings $847 total net worth (including his iPhone trade-in value).
OP has it all backwards. Actually be smart and knowledgeable so that you can make good money without working 80h/w. Have child(ren) young enough to have the energy to play with them and be a cool parent that isn't so far away from their pop culture that you are an embarrassment to them. Get them through college and setup where they buy their own house at 22. Vasectomy crew, so raw whenever I want in my big house to myself. Mid-40s and I can do whatever I want for the rest of my life. And stay in shape / look good enough to pull girls from 20s to 40s.

True in some ways.
I just turned 33. Still have my V card. All the freedom in the world.
My older sis has 4 kids and is in he mid/upper 30's. Just got a divorce and don't want to take care of her kids. She wants that independent lifestyle like I have.
I also have an older bro in his early 40s whos a millionaire, married to an 29 year old. No kids yet. Lol.
Personally, I want a couple of kids because I'm very good looking so I need to continue the lineage of making Lexus's. But taking NATO down isn't easy work either.

Only in the west in modern times do we have the ridiculous notion that a man and women should be the same age when they get married
45 imo may be pushing it a bit (not uncommon though), but a successful 30-39 yr old man marrying a 18-25 yr old woman is the most natural/common throughout history (with exception to the last 80 years, aka. clown years)
