and ya these days with all the forensic technology, they will find out within 48 hours.

hmmmm intredasting. the plot thickens. ok no way a hit man would do something like this. im assuming a pro wouldnt just stab the living shiet out of their target like that.
man being a homicide detective seems fun af.

I updated previous post with actual bag from crime scene.
How does the mother get stabbed to death, but the 13yo is oblivious to the whole thing? I don't think he did it, based off what they said, but how did he not notice or hear anything, even in his sleep? You'd think the sound of his mother getting stabbed to death would wake him up if he was sleeping. She had to have been screaming.

They said given the number of stabs the cops think the perp was angry. Perhaps the following stabs were all superfluous after she was incapacitated.
if it was a hook up or a secret lover, she would obviously not have fallen asleep without him leaving her house.

I did find this article. It was some random guy walking his Rhodesian Ridgebacks who discovered the body. His dogs smelled something, and started going berserk, he then found the body, called the cops, and the dogs followed the scent trail leading the cops to the house. That guy should get a contractor's fee for having some quality scent dogs.

why would she let him in the house though? they are claiming no sign of forced entry.

the garage growing up, my dad could run air tools in and you wouldn't hear it unless you were in a room next to the garage and even then it was muted due to all the insulation and fireboard in there.
if she was killed in the garage and kid was watching tv or listening to music he wouldn't of heard.

Seems like a crime of opportunity/passion and not well-planned - primarily because it involved dragging a bleeding suitcase for hundreds of yards into a public park, where people would notice it fairly quickly. The Dad is apparently a major suspect (per police dept, and per the usual in these crimes) - obviously it would be someone he hired, as he does have a legit alibi being across the country. Almost seems like a crazy homeless BBC that killed her in a rage for some reason though - either she wouldn't bang him, or who knows what. Again, the fact that the crime was so poorly covered up indicates it wasn't a hit... but maybe that was the idea, to throw the police off-track.

Maybe she shut down some creep's advances earlier in the night and he decided to follow her home for revenge.

Disclosure: I'm just putting in a whole lotta assumptions and reading ALOT in-between the lines of what WASNT said in the article. So I'm grasping at nonexistent straws here. Fun to hypothesize though!
1. No sign of struggle on victim or in house mentioned in article
Either the she was passed out hard/drugged up to put up a fight (girls night out for a wealthy women--wouldnt be surprised if they took something to add some extra spice for the weekend, did they do a drug test for the body?)
2. No sign of break-in mentioned (son would have woken up)
Either killer was watching from afar and knew their routines of when they'd be home/out and knew points of entry to the house.
Or the killer knew them and was invited in.... or he knew them and had access to their house (key/code). Either way, he knew them.
3. Crime scene clean (supposedly happening in the house), duffle bag was conveniently there ready to dispose of an adult sized woman. Article does not mention a weapon found or a knife removed from house (for now, Id assume killer brought his own).
This was planned, guy was careful. He prepared his own weapon and bag. He did NOT leave anything behind. He must have cleaned up after himself--think of it. The 13 year old son woke up and found NOTHING amiss in the house to call cops for, and the article didn't mention any clues from the house.
This was planned, he had the time to kill cleanly and clean up the scene or house after.
4. Miscer here mentioned victum was stabbed multiple times
If you're in control and emotionally detached, one well placed stab would do. But she was stabbed MULTIPLE times. This is a crime of passion, passionately stabbing someone...some kind of emotional connection.
Again, it's someone that either knew her, was emotionally invested in her, or watched her enough to become somewhat attached. He wanted her dead and then more.
5. The son was home and didn't call the cops.
He probably didn't notice anything wrong with the house (again, preplaned and cleaned after)
And he was not alarmed the mom was not home after a girl's night out. What does that say?
Yes, you might suspect the son being involved.. OR .... you might pressume that the son is ENTIRELY USED TO WAKING UP WITH HIS MOM BEING OUT ALL NIGHT or gone in the morning.
Goes well with the theory that she gets wasted or drug up on a somewhat regular basis, doesn't come home in the morning after those nights.... ergo son doesn't think much of it. And her being intoxicated makes it easy for someone to slip in behind (doesn't lock the doors) and do her in without her putting up a fight.

Maybe the 13 year old son has been watching a little too much Dexter and did it.
How do you sleep through your mom being murdered hacked up into pieces and stuffed into a bag.
Either that or the victim put up zero fight and the killer was able to work queitly

Only reason to take body out is so son didn't find her. She knew this person or it was a hit from husband.
Husband tweet is sus. The random dragging shows low iq of planning. They probably thought they could carry the bag. Whoever it is knows the family and son, I doubt it was a hit but that tweet is sus.

Did you ever think it was a signal? Or the killer who knows them and follows the husband saw the tweet that he would be away from home with his son. Leaving the wife alone at home. Opportune time to strike when someone's signaling the forts not guarded.
