A trap bar is better. It's used for FUNCTIONAL real life movements. That's why the US Military adopted it. Places a load more evenly throughout the body than a normal barbell.

Mark rippetoe is a dogmatic fool. He used to be a good example for beginners at least, years ago. Now he has been far surpassed and rendered obsolete by today's lifting thinkers (legit people, not fake natties selling chit programs and products)

Well that’s a fuking stupid statement. Trap bars are great. Help with leg drive on conventional pulls, give your lower back a break, and you can do farmer walks with them. Can also switch between the high handles and the low ones for different stimulus.

Tarp bar is fantastic for athletic movements. If powerlifting I mean it could help doing it every once in a while.

When using a tarp bar I find it hits my legs much more and I prefer that.

I believe this *******.

I also think he should be chemically castrated for creeping on 14 year old girls while being a huge bloatlord. Serious absolute disgust, can you imagine the nightmares he would give to a class of 9th graders if they knew what he wanted to do to them.
