TFW i'm agreeing with NYPat

2 seats for the obese. If you refuse to opt for the 2 seats you will be forced to buy them on the spot and if there are no spare seats on the plane you will have to take the next plane.

you know - I have seen people who bought two seats and they lost their second seat to someone who was on standby - extra ticket refunded

One problem is you don't know someone is a hippo until they show up at the gate, and by that point it's too late to get them to pay for an extra seat. Also, no customer service rep wants to deal with a screeching fatty being pissed because they are told they won't fit on a plane.

What they could do is flag them at security and then ask what flight they are on and give the plane a heads up at least.

Bodybuilders and Strongmen travel on planes frequently. They often have to squeeze into tight seats as well. None of them complain about it.

I was a loadmaster on C130's and figured out the CG (center of gravity) for our flights. If she were on my plane and started changing where I sat her, I'd have to tell my pilots to prepare for a CG change depending if she went forward or back.

It really wouldn't cost too much to have a large base scale for humans right at the area they weigh and take your baggage. Just set an upper limit and if you surpass that you have to pay more.
Honestly surprised Ryanair hasn't done this yet being the Jewcels they are with everything else
