I think they're likelier to dig in than pull back. The big problem Putin faces with any imminent ceasefire is that Ukraine seems highly unlikely to agree unless faced with a near total withdrawal from pre-2022 occupied territory. However you can't reasonably claim that to be a victory so I don't see Putin going for it.
