I listened to an interview with the pilot of Apollo 13, it really cemented my belief in the landings. Specifically his responses to the near catastrophic explosions of their oxygen tanks. What was insane was he was more disappointed in not being able to go to the moon rather than not making it back to earth. Why? They drilled every scenario relentlessly to be able to react with machine like efficiency in every situation-and they did that even in the situation that happened on Apollo 13 which wasn't even prepared for. His biggest gripe about the movie was that in reality there was zero drama in the capsule and that in the movie the whole thing was blown out of proportion. Ron Howard's reply was that he had to tell a story tho, something that people could relate to. We can't relate to highly trained people who can stare death in the faceand come out on topbecause they are the .000000000000000000001% of the population.

Also, if the whole thing was fake, why Apollo 13, and then why the continuation of the missions?!
